Khanin remembered to breathe.

I'm assuming Whispers in the Mist. Hopefully it winds up as part of the OST eventually. It's not a song that's already been released. I checked.

First of all Nu's Father just gave an interview yesterday on YouTube stating that they aren't dating. Don't know if he did that to keep people from harassing them but that's what he said.

I don't think the sex scenes have anything to do with their private relationship but with the characters they are playing.

Charan is very regimented because of his upbringing and his role as a royal guard. He has trouble letting go and so far in these sex scenes Khanin has been the aggressor.

I'm hoping there will be one more NC scene after Khanin wins the competition and Charan is released from under the thumb of the King.

I'd like to see him be more at ease and ready to enjoy his life more both in and out of the sack. And hopefully for the first time he would be the one to initiate intimacy.

Of course we'll have to see.

Since I haven't read the book my guess here is strictly based on what I've seen in the series so far. I think that Khanin will win the contest of wits hands down, will eek out a win in fencing against Ramil. Ava will win archery.

The first song in the sex scene is Zee singing. This is while he's just started painting Khanin's portrait. Found reference to it on X as Zee's OST, so I'm sure we will hear it on the TNP OST album.

I think the difference in chemistry is because of the characters they play. After 4 years of being paired Nu and Zee are completely comfortable in all stages of undress before the camera. If you looked at the BTS scenes they were even taking short naps snuggled up together still undressed waiting for the next shot.

You'd better buy a spare phone then. So far Khanin is the only one who has shown leadership skills, and that includes the king and his father.

Straight from being kidnapped he was able to converse with leadership in six different languages learning details about each one over an earpiece as he went.

Then he stopped a riot from happening, came up with a temporary solution to the mining issue while singing like an angel. He stabilized a volatile situation while allowing the lantern ceremony to go on. Because he's not part of this big Royal mess he's the only one there who thinks he has any agency outside of the king.

That man is Gandhi. The next Nobel Peace prize will belong to Khanin. 🎖️

I can tell you. There was the excitement of a first sexual encounter in Cutie Pie. The culmination of longing to be intimate on both of their parts. Banging against the walls and a lot of passion. The sex scenes between Nu and Zee this time around were much less passionate. I liked the first one better than the second because it seemed more emotional to me.

I'm going to have to do a rewatch of both before I add it to the end of my review for Episode 10. But that's my initial impression.

Some of it may have to do that the character of Charan being a royal guard is much more cautious and so he's having issues being passionate having sex even though he really loves Khanin.

I'm going to have to think about it some more.

Ava is just a bit player in the series, but she's doing the job that she's supposed to.

She's still a teenager, the youngest of the three Princes/Princesses. As a 16-year-old she just told her father to go get stuffed, that she would have the fencing and archery coach that she wants.

And WTF does it matter if her coach is a woman? She's going to be judged on her skill. She can either hit the target or she can't. Nobody cares about the gender of the person training her.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Khanin wins the wits contest and fencing. And Ava wins archery.

There really isn't any other choice than that Tharin becomes king and actually has power for the first time, and Khanin with his natural leadership qualities fixes the mining mess.

This episode was absolutely riveting. Couldn't take my eyes off for a second. I'm in the middle of my second watch right now but I probably won't get around to my review until later tonight or tomorrow.

Khanin is coming into his own. He has impeccable leadership skills and he just stopped a riot. You really can't ask for more than that.

Ava showed her mastery too. And her right to pick her own trainer and live her own life independently of her misogynistic father.

I really couldn't have asked for more.

It is part of the Emmaiian code to stay pure until you meet the one you are meant to be with. It's the lore of the Emmalian kiss which was brought up in Episode 1. So this wasn't just Charan's first sexual encounter, it was his first kiss.

Eventually Zee is going to have to stop playing virgins. Otherwise he might as well join Steve Carell in the remake of the 40-year-old virgin. Of course Steve is in his 60s now. 😮

As I said above that song is something that isn't cataloged yet. I am 99% sure that it is something that will be added to the TNP OST and we will get more information on it in the future.

Zee is the one who picked the genre for the series. Aof had the book written, although they aren't strictly sticking to the plot from what I understand.

I'm not reading the book until after the series is over.
