I do have an idea. My best friend is Thai and speaks fluent English. She's been here for 20 years and still has an accent.

But she's not playing someone who was born and brought up in England.

It's very hard for an adult Thai speaker to speak unaccented English unless they started learning it as a kid.

For example, the woman who plays Samantha went to an international school and that's why she speaks English with almost no accent. Even she has a tiny bit of one.

If you ever heard Ally (who has sung a duet or two with NuNew) speak English She also has an American accent and went to an international school.

Paul Kim who sang Blooming Just for You with NuNew went to high school in New Zealand and speaks English with an NZ accent.

I just thought they should have adjusted the role for NuNew's capabilities.

It is possible that with a dialect coach and extensive training he could reach an almost undetectable accent, but his schedule is packed as it is and I don't know what benefit that would be to his career.

However both Zee and NuNew should gain some fluency in English if they want to be international stars. It will make them much more marketable.

Episode one was unbelievably sad so it was nice to have more action and more comedy in episode two.

I think he was dressed up to look like an old lady with the gray hair. So not pretty but funny. I enjoyed those scenes. 😂

I'm a native English speaker and to be clear I love this series, but NuNew's English doesn't sound native or anything close to native. Sounds like a Thai native trying to have an English accent.

Namfon Sueangsuda Lawanprasert plays Charan's mother in a guest role. So she's going to appear in at least one episode.

Yes. The other two Ramil and Paytai, who you saw in Episode 2, and Calvin and Jay, who we haven't seen yet.

An IQIYI VIP subscription is really cheap. Why would you do this to the actors and producers who try and make quality BL's?

I dunno. I don't drink, and that nasal spray looks like the basis for drinking game that I remember from Naughty Babe.

I usually wait for a whole series to play before I watch it for that reason. I'm making an exception for TNP.

And Bie Teerapong Leowrakwong, who plays Ramil's Father in TNP also played Kon Diao's father in Naughty Babe.

So far I think the series is just about perfect except for Khanin's English. That's just a tiny irritation for me.

I'm pretty critical when it comes to ratings to anything. From restaurants, to art, to entertainment.

So far I found very little wrong with the series. And as long as they don't have the really serious issues with plot inconsistencies that they did in Cutie Pie, this series is pretty close to a 10 to me.

Even Cutie Pie was a solid 8, and a 9 for Zee and NuNew's performances. (And 10 for chemistry). 🙂

IQIYI already changed the closing credits to episode 1. First it was some kind of a March melody and then they changed it to NuNew singing Above.

I don't think the terrible ratings have anything to do with the quality of the series. It's just anti fans. That will have no effect on the popularity of the series or on the awards that it's bound to win after it finishes airing.

Eventually the entire series will be on YouTube but not until the first run is complete on One31 (Thai TV) and IQIYI streaming service. That should be sometime in August. If you want to see it before then you'll have to subscribe to IQIYI if you're not in Thailand.

I have a subscription to the VIP level of IQIYI and it cost me around $70 a year or less than $6 a month. In other currencies it converts to way less than that in US dollars. It's only a little bit of money and you support the actors by viewing the series through official channels.

An IQIYI VIP subscription is dirt cheap. Support the actors and get a subscription.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this is. There is not one person who's going to skip watching TNP because a bunch of delusional anti-fans have given the series a 1 or 2 rating.

The PILOT won awards. And I don't know how TV shows work in Thailand but in the US they get renewed due to viewership.

There's no chance that Zee and NuNew won't get cast in a lot more series, and win more awards for doing it. They will only stop getting cast someday when they decide they don't want to do it anymore.

Yeah they seem to be really at it. 7.6 here but 8.8 on IMDb. They can't outpace the much larger fan base there. Even Pit Babe 2 is 7.8.

Khanin is still in college so I assume somewhere between 20 and 22.

Edit. Just finished the beginning of episode 2. We have a definitive age for Khanin. He was born in 2003 so he is 22 in 2025.
