Amazing me
Overrated. Not a relaxing watch
It started with a bang. Pace was also good, story and plot was good, acting was good all in the beginning And then towards the end it started dragging and that's when everything went down. It became confusing at some point trying to understand if the FL really loves our ML or not. Stone face is not acting. It's a torture of 1st grade. Heavy story . Jun ho definitely good acting. Beautiful costumes, i binged watched this and regretted it. If you are like me who loves to relax this is not for you. But if you are in to something serious watch it. I felt i wasted my time. I think the rating is too overrated or may be people like the feeling to feel traumatized.Was this review helpful to you?

Love conquers all
This drama now holds a good spot in my go and rewatch list. Both Zao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan are amazing, even Victor Ma was good. Loved the story line, which is soft, fluffy, full of sweetness, beautiful songs and sweetness over all. No hateful characters. It's a story of a struggling but a nice ML and a mischievous, manipulating 14 year old who slowly grows into a fine woman. Whose love is unshakable and pure. Goes all in. Eventually both ML and FL stick together, very healthy relationship once they are together, who loves and supports each other.If anytime you feel you are down and you just want to experience sweetness this drama is for you. This drama to me, can competes with Love O2O. There are very few dramas where though they are not very realistic but gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling. Well in a way it feels realistic, when you love someone you want to shorten the distance and want to become the best version of yourself.

Overrated
I could watch this only becoz of Xu kai. I had to take few breaks before i could finish this. Portrayal and popularity of e-sport was again the subject. There was nothing new about this drama, its the same old same old but has many sweet moments. I would have liked this drama little more if the FL had an ability to show different expressions. Her face was totally a poker face or deadpan. There was a scene in drama where ML and FL are on the either side of the door and FL is trying to talk some sense into the ML and ML comments i can totally see your expression from this side of the door and i thought there are no expressions so yes it wouldn't be hard to imagine.They could have done a better job with FL she came across as a strong character in the beginning with independent girl but then she was doubting herself, her BF, creating trouble everywhere and wash more of a not cute looking FL. I would say if not for Xu Kai this would have been a full flop at least from where i see.

Angsty and too long
I am big fan of Dylan wang and i continued watching only because of him. FL not pretty and acting is little forced. Later episodes are dragged and too long. Very angsty. I wouldn't watch this again. I don't know why everyone is raving about this. If you are not a fan of Dylan Wang skip this. Story was bit new, music was okay, acting was awesome and also direction. Nice cinematography and somewhere humor also. I was annoyed by the servants of ML and FL so annoying. Too many filler scenes. This drama could have ended in 24 episodes but no they had to drag this.Was this review helpful to you?

This one was highly anticipated one on my list but i am kind of disappointed. Plot has many holes and from time to time didn't make sense. Too many flash back scenes. Though they show FL as kickass but she cries buckets in the drama and at times it's beyond me to understand why so much crying? what is the reason to cry? for e.g. when she was running away to LL goon's and sees LG her crying i couldn't understand was that a relief to see him or she was super upset?? every scene FL appears she is crying on the screen. It really does not portray strong FL when you see her cry on every scene with LG and just becoz she can throw few punches does not make her strong. Strength mainly come from internal being which i found was not there. I was bored while watching this and only sat through this becoz of Lee Min Ho. It's a one time watch . Slow burn but good
I am sucker for slow burn dramas. The execution was flawless. Story was good with good number of twist and turns. I am surprised a the low rating. Yes the ML's i have seen them for the first time. FL didn't do well with her acting as her range is not so good.ML range was okish too. the characters around the ML's were good and all of them had a good screen time.
Just give a watch, its definitely watchable!
I was looking for a good drama and didn't find any so gave this i thought to give this one a try. This year has been bleak in terms of good drama and specially at year end.

not something you can enjoy
First of all this drama is full of angst. This has nail biting moments but has more torture than love. My heart was hurting so much through out the drama as i was watching it. The twist are really surprising and painful. This is all about sacrifices someone else makes becoz someone is power hungry and killing happens the way you are out there to buy groceries. This won't calm your nerves instead it will work u up. So if you looking for something which will make you happy, put your heart at ease than this is not the drama for you. On top that this drama has the FL lead with dead pan expression which i hated through out the drama.i preferred younger version of FL and her acting skill. Older version of FL has no emotions or expressions coming out and in a way the are saying FL is little dumb as she know she is not a real shaman but she likes to keep believing it that makes you question the intelligence of FL in this drama.

Tepid
I went into this due to ML and FL. Starting was good MLs and supporting cast was good. Half way through the series i started getting annoyed with FLs attempt to control the ML and she trying to compete in the bureau. There are so many plot holes that it is obvious that they trying to force the scenarios. Romance part is okay but no chemistry. FL is acting like a spoiled brat and it keeps getting annoying and it never ends. Li Yi Tong for the first time i felt she does not have much range for emotions, he r acting was tacky. Biggest plot hole is in the last episode won't disclose it here but you got to watch it. Ending felt rushed. I was frustrated it suddenly ended.Good part is Yang Shi Ze rocked the look and part of prince Wen Ying, looked dapper.
My two cents, if you have nothing to watch then watch this .

Flying under a radar!
I didn't know this will turn out to be something i can't put down and will be glued to it. I was sad that it got over. Initially i was annoyed with FL as she took everything for granted or acted naïve. But later on she gets better slowly. Also our FL i found it plain looking and not so beautiful whichever angle i see it from. This is a slow burn romance, it takes it's time to get there. I thing i remember clearly is chemistry is off the charts for the leads. Story plot is complex and if you don't pay attention you can easily miss it. I don't write long reviews and dissect each part but that is becoz i don't have the skill :)I only like to write about what struck me the most and stayed with me after watching this few months ago. Definitely go for it if you are like me who enjoys Chinese wuxia dramas.

Surprisingly good!
Not a fan of time travel and cross gender( or whatever it is called) dramas. I didn't read any reviews on this and just started watching. It hold my interest from the very first episode. I loved the way out FL/ML did the acting of a Male in the body of a female. She did fantastic job in acting as a male. Loved the story and the content. Beautiful costumes from Joseon period. Initially found it awkward about a male falling in love with another male thing him to be a female, it's little complex to describe it but then i got used to when the character accepted it. It was cute and hilarious that the king is trying to learn queen vocabulary. Over all its not a new story but the way it is produced and acted definitely entertaining and hold your interest. This has everything, mystery, drama, romance, marshal arts, obsession, revenge, time travel, body swap, politics, you name it. Definitely entertaining!!Was this review helpful to you?
Feel good
Bruce He is an amazing actor. You can see small nuances of his expression in everything. I can't believe he is this new. I feel he is going to make good future once he gets right opportunity and his dimples are too cute ....This is one of those series where guy is crazy after the girl and girl is smart, intelligent, calculated and selfish. They had a good chemistry also I loved the chemistry of second lead couple if you can say so. Not FL friend but ML cousin, yes i mean that couple. Story is pretty okay but if you are looking for sweet moments this one has pretty good ones. This show is something when you have exhausted everything and want to just watch fluff, you can watch this one.Was this review helpful to you?
