This is how I feel. Every time I read some of the horrible rumors I hope it's just rumors and not fact. I can't imagine anyone having to go through that. And I hope his family can grieve in peace. Sadly I don't think we'll ever know the full truth, either, but I believe God knows and that if anything evil did transpire the perpetrators will not go unpunished.

This actor stole a motorcycle to drive, so even not having a car didn't stop him. But I understand your point. I do hope he is able to reflect and mature and come back a wiser, more careful, non-drinking person.

If I were a Korean celebrity I think I'd have a non-drinking companion with me at all times who had the authority to haul me off if I stepped one toe over the line.

Not disagreeing with you and that's the point I was making. If there's no news from China that the case has been reopened then I can only assume that it hasn't been and likely never will be. I wish that weren't true.

Are there posts on RedNote that say his case has been reopened? I'm so afraid that the authorities are just going to wait for people to get tired of it and give up.

Where are you getting this news? I keep seeing videos on YouTube but they turn out to be nothing. I so want the truth to come out. I barely knew him as an actor, but what I've read about what he had to deal with from powerful people is heartbreaking.

According to his own apology statement he also stole a motorcycle. Most apology statements I've seen seem to be written by PR, but his statement is so heartfelt. I hope he means it sincerely and really does change his behavior around drinking. I'm very glad he doesn't have to live with the regret of having injured or killed someone. And I sincerely hope that he has learned a life-long lesson and is able to come back from this and have a good career after a reasonable period of time off.

That's who I was afraid it was. I may not finish the drama, now. He's pretty much the only character I like seeing anyway. I liked Money is Coming, too.
