she is their chief so this is normal , but till ep 4 they fell in love ...so just keep watching .
yes, FL is really arrogant because she is spoiled by the other true gods and her friend goddess YueMi and because, way before she was born ,it was declared by the ancestral god that she will be the Chief Goddess, the highest among the true gods. She's got it easy even in her trial(not gonna spoil you) She has her character development when she realized the weight of her title. Just bear with it for a few episode. ALP is good. Just like any typical xianxia drama full of angst. Ahaha Enjoy watching.
It's tolerable til it isn't anymore. It's just a 20-minute drama with 16 episodes, but I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting. I got distracted most of the time. I managed to watch another 5 episodes of Fantastic Doctors because I lost interest, then came back for the sake of finishing.
From ep.1 to the last, they are time traveling, which made me lose interest. It's cute till episode 14 I realized there are only 2 episodes left, yet they are still on the murder mystery.
I got fooled by the title. I took a break from the angsty drama Story of Kunning Palace, so while looking for…
PS. As for the rewatch (Meet Yourself or Hometown Cha3), forget it(I'll save my healing dramas for next time). I am watching Fantastic Doctors, the Chinese adaptation of kdrama Good Doctor.
The Good Doctor - American Series Mucize Doktor - Turkish Good Doctor - Japanese Life After Death - Hong Kong
Wow! And now we have the Chinese adaptation, 'Fantastic Doctors!' All this from the original Kdrama 'Good Doctor'. Soon, Italy, India and Thailand will also make adaptations.
I just finished Daily Dose of Sunshine, and I'm watching Fantastic Doctors, currently on episode 2, and I like it.
Whether you watch the adaptations or the original, you can give it a try. There's a reason why it has many adaptations.
I got fooled by the title. I took a break from the angsty drama Story of Kunning Palace, so while looking for something in my Plan to Watch folder to clear my head of all the angst, I saw Daily Dose of Sunshine and thought that it was lighthearted. I took the title literally, thinking PBY is literally a walking Sunshine to her patients, and dang! I was fooled! haha. Episode 1, and I find myself crying. It was 12 episodes (I'm glad that it's just 12eps) I cried in each episode.
I could relate so much to the Kim Sung Sik case when I watched that episode. I took a step back and asked, What did I just get myself into? I watch this drama to take a break from an angsty one, but lo, it's a heavy one. I disassociated myself from the cases, as I might 'drown' into them, and focused on the story, especially on the psych team and how they deal with their work and their life outside work.
Kim Seowan: When I watched his final scene, I was reminded of Looney from Prison Playbook. He tried really hard, but he was beaten by his mental illness. So is Looney; he tried so hard and did his best to stop and stay away from drugs, but he really couldn't run from it.They had no control over their situation, which is why they end up like that.
Though, IMO, the writer should not let Jung Da-eun get ill too, I want her at least to be their sunshine, like walking sunshine. But I guess the writer wants to convey that there is a thin line between mental healthcare and mental illness, that anyone can have it, and no one is immune to it.
As someone who has suffered from mental illness, this drama hits home. More dramas like this are an eye-opener for people who think lightly of mental illness and think that it is just in the mind.
I guess I have to rewatch Meet Yourself or Hometown Cha Cha Cha as my healing drama before continuing the Story of Kunning Palace, haha.
What a tearjerker! Even at the end, I am crying. I am content with the ending though, as I am not about the romance in this one or because I disliked Haruka? Never mind.
Kamiya is a lovable character. She is determined and collected. The moment she realized they might not be rescued sooner, she started taking action, like collecting food & water and also looking for a place to stay.
I got annoyed with Morishige, but kinda understand her, she's being treated like trash and when she got hold of the sickle it made her feel like holding power above the rest.
What I'm confused about is what happened to the teacher? It really is his fault for not checking on them, it's negligence.
The first 10 episodes are good, then the next were a drag. And I was so disappointed with the ending. I think it would be better if they exclude Tae-ho from the painting party, and it would be more appropriate to show him in prison feeling remorseful. Because no matter how I wanted him to be happy, he killed 5 people and when they were back in Korea, he went on threatening others that they would also meet the same fate if they ratted him out, telling them it was easy for him to kill them. And I feel sorry for Yeol. He died, but they never found his body.
Another masterpiece in 2023. I'm fine with 12 episodes; the ending is not rushed. Somehow the abuse is relatable because domestic or family violence are often ignored, and usually outsiders don't want to be involved, as we refer to it as a family problem that should be solved among themselves. That's why Ki-ho, after several attempts at reporting his father but always in vain, stopped believing in the law.
I really like the works of this writer, and somehow she has the knack to make a SML as green flag as the ML that you ended up rooting for them too, and sometimes the audience gets confused about who is the ML. Haha😆
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is one of my all-time favorites. That's why I was kind of hesitant to watch Strong Girl Nam Soon, but still, I gave it a try. I think it was quite interesting 'til episode 10.
I find some of the side characters unnecessary. The show can still go on without them; for a 16-episode drama, they could've just used it for the background of the villains like Bin Bin, Si-o, or Pavel, or they could've made the story about the drugs more solid instead of adding some unnecessary side characters taking screen time.
Byeon Woo-seok is really good at portraying characters, whether good or bad. Sadly for him, the actor gained more acknowledgement than the character, Ryu Si-o. They root for him even though he's evil from the start, just because he is handsome. They fell for the actor, so they disregard the character he's portraying. In my country, many wanted him to end up with Nam-soon ignoring the fact that he is evil and didn't even try to change even after spending time with the FL. I didn't even want him to have a redemption arc, as what he did was so despicable. Until the very end, he just wanted to monopolize the antidote so he could break off with Pavel. If he didn't meet that kind of ending, he would still end up in jail for life imprisonment (the worst is execution) because of all those crimes.
The ending is still so confusing, but given the fact that they are still out to get the main antagonist and that there is still a continuation, it's bearable. Many are pissed off because of Si-o's death.
I'm quite torn with the hint of another spin-off with the male character as the main lead because I love the uniqueness of the two stories with a strong woman as the main lead, so having a man, for me, is like losing its uniqueness.
Strong Girl Nam Soon is an OK drama. I will not compare it with SWDBS as the two are not in the same league.
I was waiting for this as this is a reunion drama for Choi Ji-woo and Kwon Sang Woo, 10/11 years after Stairway to Heaven, but unlike StH, this is a disappointment.
She is a mistress and he is a cheater husband. She even mentioned that she would be the test of their relationship.
Many may say that it is more than an affair, but no. No matter how grand or whatever your reason, it will always boil down to one thing, and that is that they had an affair.
Because of this, I read the novel and I must say they really made a great adaptation. In the series, I shipped Wan Mei and Gong Zi so much, haha. Although I like Chang-an, Gong zi with Wan Mei is 🔥. The novel is much darker and the bed scenes are uncomfortable, so I skipped those. Xing Feng is another interesting character. I love the opening song so kuch that I memorized it,haha. A Lifetime Waiting for You by Tia Ray.
Up to the very end, I rooted for Wang Won and Eun San, the throne and love. He can have both, right? But why can't he? Why did they make another Scarlet Heart Ryeo ending for the King?

I can't seem to connect with Anna, and I feel there's more chemistry between Je Ha and Yoo Jin than with the FL.

Another must-see drama for 2023.
I love Algernon🐭😭

Jin Jung is more like a crazy prosecutor😆

I really hope he will return in season 2.
