You really can't judge a book by its cover. I was kinda hesitant to watch it at first because it looked like 40 eps was so dragging. But after finishing those 40eps I craved more. This is one of the best slice-of-life dramas. I didn't get bored or impatient with the sloooowwww buuuurrn romance, I kind of love it, actually, how they fall for each other (it's so realistic,so believable). As someone who quit his job due to burnout, this is really a healing drama. Despite being slow-paced, there is no boring episode. I didn't find myself skipping any scenes. I even regret not watching it while it's still airing.
I was still a teen when I watched this and at that time it gave me butterflies, thus the high rating. Rewatching it as an adult gives me a cringe.😅 I'm getting old.
I rate this second after Unstoppable High kick(s1) and High Kick Through the Roof is excluded,(aside from the super disappointing character of Hae Ri, why did they have to give that kind of ending?)
though i see the ending this way since i don't think it ended positively. That beggar told him the location of…
To each their own, I guess, that's the essence of an open ending. But to me, since it's LLH, even if the beggar said that it's from a dead body, it doesn't really mean that it was LLH,although he is the owner of the sachet. Remember how everyone thought he died 10 yrs ago but he is alive?
The special episode gave hints that he's not alive but also hints refuting that he is dead.
BTW, the special episode broadcast by CCTV was a more positive one. They edited it to make a hopeful open ending. Maybe they are also thinking about, 'to each of their own',right?
In the novel,he is alive. FDB found him living near the sea with a cat.
everyone who watched this show had the same exact thought
Plot wise, FL & ML should end up together. It's predicted from the start, they share joys and difficulties. It's just that when the SFL came into the story, she overshadowed the FL. It's not the character,it's the actress. Here, the FL actress didn't embody the FL character, making some of the viewers forget what she and Park hoon had gone through. In short, the blank face and bland acting didn't convince the viewers.
I watched it thinking it was a medical drama, but there's more romance & scheming than medical.
not so dramatic with many plot twists. I'm just giving my opinion as a viewer. I watched it and didn't get stressed over it, so I'm good and besides it's Choi Siwon❤️ and another fav.actress Kang Sora❤️ + another OST to add to my playlist❤️
The story is nice. The casting is right. Dong Hua Dijun is my favorite character. I am easy to please and this caught my attention and I didn't get bored (thanks to the chemistry of Ye Hua and Bai Qian and waiting for the fall of Su Jin(!)) thus the 10 rating. As for the Visual FX given that it was in 2017, I can totally understand.
The open ending for me is a positive one; that Li Lianhua is alive. I read the novel and Li Lianhua is alive. It's just that I don't know how the drama will execute it, but with the way they ended it as an open one, I think they are giving the viewers their own interpretation of whether Li Lianhua is alive or not.
For me, when DFS and FDB accompanied by fox tail reached the beach they saw LLH there, judging by their expressions(they looked relieved, like when you found what you're searching for) and the way fox tail wags his tail! And when the camera pans towards the empty sea, I presumed the three of them left together.
The reason they didn't show the three of them in one frame is because that's the sense of an open ending. And it's a fantasy, costume drama and in a drama anything can happen, right? The dead can be alive, a toxic poison without an antidote can still be cured, a dying person can still be saved, anything can happen in a fantasy/fiction drama and the fact that they didn't emphasize that he is dead is a strong indication of him being alive.
Hoping to see the gang in another season of investigation again🤩
I read the novel so I decided to watch this. This is the prequel of Lost You Forever so this should be the love story of XY's parents. I really hate the poor CGI's, this was released in 2017 the same year as TMOPB and I can totally understand the CGI of TMOPB but not this🙍. Ah Mo's love for Chiyun is not that deep, well Chiyun loved her more than she loved him. She only loved him when it's convenient for her and one thing that pissed me off was that she didn't honor her promise to Chiyun. She left their daughter and justified it by saying that Sheng Lun will take good care of her. What breaks my heart is Wood girl still waits for Yu Chen to come home💔.
Dada❤️ It aired in my country and was dubbed in my language. I remember staying up late at night to watch it as there were no reruns, not even mentioning that the internet at that time is still not a thing. leads chemistry✅ plot✅ acting✅ It's them against the world. Young as I was at that time I can't recount how many times I cried.
