Stick with it. I feel the same way at times but I love his portrayal of Gu Yiye and can’t look away.

Just finished episodes 13 & 14 and I LOVED them. I think they were the best episodes of the show so far. I can’t wait to see the next portion of the drama. I’m really excited!

I’m honestly so proud of Xiao Zhan. What an amazing actor! He’s really the heart and soul of this drama (like he is in all his dramas). I’ll watch anything he’s in!

I’m so happy with all the things actor Xiao Zhan has accomplished this year. He has the top 2 hit of the year with Douluo Continent which is one of the only 2 dramas to break 3 on Datawin. It also aired on national CCTV channel 3x. And now he has Ace Troops which really highlights his acting chops which are getting praised by critics and senior actors. I’m so proud of him!

They have equal billing now. That’s why they add the alphabetical order in parenthesis after their names. If they didn't have equal billing they wouldn’t be able to add that disclaimer. But originally Xiao Zhan should have been the only maid lead.

It’s a military drama. I don’t know what else you’re expecting. And as someone who is currently watching I disagree with your comment.

I really don’t understand what their grudge is against Gu Yiye while showing favoritism to GL, who, in my opinion, is nowhere near as capable. The logic is strange. “Gu Yiye is an excellent soldier but I prefer you over him.” What kind of reasoning is that? Lmao

I know they’re trying to get me to like GL but he’s unbearable. I can’t tell if it’s the acting or the character but it’s off-putting. He’s not a big likable oaf. He’s just annoying to me. I hope his character improves later. Right now, the biggest saving grace is Gu Yiye. I probably would have dropped a long time ago with just GL.

Idk where anyone is getting other dates but the producer or director (don’t remember which) said that they were aiming for a summer slot.

I’m currently on episode 1 and I’m in love with Gu Yiye. He’s so handsome. And Xiao Zhan’s portrayal of the character is the best in the drama. I’m gonna go binge watch on IQiyi. I highly recommend. 😁

AGAIN. Since people want to spread rumors about the cast. HUNAN is the one that’s in deep shit. They’re under INTENSE scrutiny by the government under this clean campaign. The drama will either air by this year or Hunan will lose the tv broadcasting license and the other TV networks will buy TOOL, like they’ve been wanting to do since last year. It’s obvious that HUNAN is the problem. Not the drama and certainly NOT the lead actors.
