I rewatched it and liked it more the second time around. Maybe my mood was different, but although I found it a bit boring the first time, it was quite refreshing. I do still think the first 2/3 of the drama are better than the final episodes, but it's still a feel-good show and it's so nice to see a romance and relationship evolve naturally. Or well, as naturally as it can under these circumstances. I also appreciate the cousin, I was afraid he's turn out to be a hateful character, but he became one of my favorites in the end.
So, I upgraded my score to 7.5.

I see it the same way as 3GGG. She said she was proud of him 'but', because she didn't want him in harm's way.

Yes and no. She's badass and it's refreshing, but she did order murder on several occasions. I find it hard to hate her, but it leaves a sour taste.

So far I am loving it! Think something like Chief Kim + Mad Dog + Tomorrow with you/Go back couple vibes. Loads of badass women and hilarious side-kicks. I hope it'll stay that way, cause so far I am sold.

The first episode was quite alright, but the second episode.. omg! That sudden goblin reference! The singing! The awkward kisses and confessions! The horrible acting and pointless confrontations -cringe-
Sorry to say, but this is really not a good drama. I suppose it's enough to pass your time if you just crave something sweet, though.

I suppose I was disappointed in her because until that point I believed her to be a really independent and wise character. She was always the voice of reason when negotiating between Robin and Seo Jin when she still thought they were twins. But I think her behavior didn't really change after knowing the truth, and it felt strange to me. Yes, one needs time to come to accept it, but I just think the writers didn't handle it very well. Her strange reaction to when Seo Jin told her he wouldn't fight his illness was actually what bothered me the most and I still consider it a plot hole rather than a strange thought on her part. Because naturally it would mean Robin would disappear if he treated his illness. So, on one hand she tells Robin she will be with him forever and breaks down completely after it is revealed that he will indeed disappear. And on the other hand she tells Seo Jin not to give up the fight. It was too big of a contradiction.
But anyway, I guess we both just read this drama and her character differently.

IKR?? The first 20 minutes are SO bad. That acting sent shivers down my spine, in a very very bad way.

I remember loving this drama when I watched it three years ago. By now, I've tried rewatching it three times, but I cannot make it past episode 2. The leading girl is so freaking annoying in her screaming and shouting, it is hurting my ears. It is also by no means an acceptable behavior for a doctor, especially not in front of her patients. I suppose by now I am also used to more down-to-earth acting and dramas. The supernatural elements (like his tattoo appearing and going and how there's this weird eye glowing when he switches personalities) never used to bother me, but I recently watched Hyde, Jekyll and Me, and I found the DID was more realistic and understandable there. To top it off I am suddenly aware of so many mistakes in the continuity. It is making me sad that I am no longer able to enjoy it as much as the first time around...

The reason why I for my part don't understand Ha Na and disliked her behavior in the end, is because she encouraged Robin in his desire to become independent. She encouraged it by telling him she would always be with him, making plans for the future and even marrying him, although he is a symptom of Seo Jin's illness. DID is an illness. Seo Jin having a split personality, is an illness, and there is nothing romantic about it. Although Seo Jin was cured of it in the end, it is not thanks to her, but thanks to Seo Jin falling in love with her and realizing through his love that Robin and he are one. I call her selfish, because she was ready to have Seo Jin live with his illness for the rest of his life, just because she couldn't let go of Robin, who is, as I said before, just a faction of Seo Jin's mind. She should have trusted and helped Seo Jin to overcome his DID and see Robin in his mannerisms, because he was slowly changing. We all know she loved Seo Jin before, especially the happening on her birthday, when she later remembers his words and his smiling face without realizing that he wasn't robin. But it's not the point, the point is how she behaved after finding out Seo Jin has DID. She still treated him like they were twins .

Pheww, okay, so... here is what I hate and what I loved about the show:
- The acting was really great on most accounts. I still cannot believe how both Hyun Bin and Sung Joon switched between faces so flawlessly, even their tone of voice and expression of their eyes...
- The dialogues: Some of the writing was so silly, that I am left wondering how the writers could then create such beautiful dialogues that really reflect the essence of each character. Usually, writing is either hit or miss – in this case, I really cannot decide.
- The OST: Also, conflicting because I LOVED the background music. The composing was absolutely beautiful. I am so sad it hasn't been released on the OST. Now, the main songs with lyrics are horrible. Destroyed every even remotely touching or romantic moment. I sometimes just muted the sound to somehow get through it lol

Now we come to the things I was sorely disappointed with:
- The female lead and wonder(never)land: I was so excited when I heard about her profession. I work in the theatre world, so having shows and circus and acrobatics was so on the top of the list I wanted to see in a drama. Sadly, it was ridiculous to say the least. There was two instances where she showed off her 'skills' (more like breaking in and swinging on a rope), and both times it was so over the top I just had to roll my eyes. The one show the produced was mediocre at best, and it was the only thing we ever got to see about the circus. The female lead started out as witty and independent and strong, but she ended up as an accessory, the always 'supporting' woman who doesn't work and strive for dreams of her own.
- The romance: The chemistry between Seo Jin and Ha Na was great. Until it wasn't just there anymore because for some ridiculous reason, Ha Na decided it would be like cheating if she developed feelings for him. Her attachment to Robin and interaction with him, seemed like child's play to me. As an adult woman, she should have understood that there was no way she could stay with him forever, as he is an imaginary persona, and a symptom of someone else's illness. Honestly, I felt so, so, so bad for Seo Jin. I had first lead syndrome, if you may call it that, because he never got what he deserved, not even in the end. Her suddenly accepting him, despite claiming a hundred times that she didn't love him that way, felt forced and too sudden. They should have found a way to make her realize the connection between Seo Jin and Robin earlier - after all, they are ONE.
- which brings me to the ending. The final episode was a bit ridiculous. Yeah, we all knew it would end with Seo Jin and Robin becoming one, but having Seo Jin adapt all of Robin's traits and skills seems so far fetched. I would have loved it, had he started to make an effort to LEARN the skills, for Robin's sake. But this is such a romanticized view of DID that I just cannot agree with it.
- plot holes and stupid policemen: I am not going to go into depth, but the 'bad guy' honestly got away WAY too often. He is a single guy with no field training or whatever, how in the world did he manage to avoid it? It makes no sense. Then the final kidnapping incident: it felt soooo awkward. Everyone was way too calm, especially Ha Na. How they never addressed that he tried to kill her SEVERAL times, he choked her and threw her off the roof, and later on she told him readily all her secrets while being under his spell - and she doesn't need psychotherapy? Really? Seo Jin could forgive him for nearly killing the woman he loves? I mean, yes, damn, I felt so sorry for Dr. Yoon, but what he did in the beginning was just too much. I really think they filmed the first episode and made him look like a murderer and had no idea about his actual motives. Because I don't think he even meant to kill anyone. It was just messy writing and messy directing.
I don't know, I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.

I have a real hard time rating this drama. I stayed away for a long time because of the bad comments. So to start off: This drama isn't as bad as many others make it out to be. Okay, in the beginning, I was ready to rate it a 6 at most. Then, somewhere along the thrilling episodes between 6 and 13, I changed my mind and actually considered rating it a 9, because despite its flaws, it kept me at the edge of my seat. I felt for the characters, I suffered their pains and feared for their life, and some of the dialogues touched something deep within me. But with every episode nearing the end, the show lost it's excitement and emotion, at least for me. The final episode didn't bring me satisfaction, on the contrary, I somehow feel cheated. Don't get me wrong, I suppose the ending is everything most people would wish for, but it didn't bring across the emotion. I will write more about the reasons in a spoiler tag.
Anyway, if you're a fan of Hyun Bin, give this a shot, because he was amazing in this. Sung Joon almost stole the show, but sadly he didn't get any screen time later on.
For now, I rate this an 7.5.

I just finished rewatching this show, and I think I love it even more the second time around. It's just such a beautiful, heartfelt and compelling drama. The characters with all their flaws and insecurities grow beyond what you thought possible. This is a gem, one of a kind, and shouldn't be missed (unless you really cannot see blood and surgeries). 9.5 and pretty much perfection.

It's not one of my favorite dramas, but it was a good watch. If you're hesitating because of that dad-daughter relationship, don't worry. They never consider each other that way, it's a mere title, and it's resolved early on. I hope you enjoy it :)

That's what you call slice of life. No unnecessary ridiculous shenanigans and drama needed. This is one of my favorite dramas, and I've rewatched it many times. It's sweet, funny, heartfelt and very much shows that appearance isn't everything. To each their own, but in my opinion it is not overrated at all. I gave it a 9.5/10

Yeah, but I am more of a binge-watcher, so I guess I'll wait until those have finished. Touch your heart seems like a drama I can watch while airing though, and I just looove the actors. And yeah, sadly Bonus Book has failed my expectations so far. Let's see!

I second pretty much all the recommendations, especially the older ones 'Queen In Hyun's Man' and 'City Hunter' shouldn't be missed, although the fashion sense is questionable lol I only dropped 'Are you human too', couldn't stay invested.

There is not a single episode set in Hungary. However, there are some episodes/scenes that supposedly take place in Granada Spain, but they filmed in all kinds of places in Europe. Maybe they added some Hungary in there, too. I could catch glimpses of Ljubljana and Girona at least.
