I loved this drama much more than I thought I would. It took a couple of episodes to really get into it, because even though there was a lot of suspense, all the disaster caused by Representative Oh & Co became really repetitive by episode 6 or so. That's why I must say I liked the second half of the drama much more, also because the romance can finally sail. The focus of the character development definitely rests on the leading actors instead of actresses, and I think Lee Go Eun could have undergone a bigger change as well. It didn't feel that balanced. All in all, I really liked the theme of this drama. Discovering how film works behind the scenes is always fascinating to me. I also applaud Kim Myung Min for an excellent performance as Anthony. As much as I hated his character in the beginning, he made the development so believable that I couldn't help but fall for him at some point. He lives by his strong principles, and that doesn't change until the very end. The final episodes made me tear up more than once. On a different note, Siwon shines as usual in his geeky role and brought me close to tears from laughter on several occasions. I really love the cast!
I recommend it to everyone who is tired of the same old plot-lines (this one has the clichés too, but somehow they don't bother me that much) and love triangles and wants a refreshing change. Don't give up on the romance, it might be slow, but it's there!

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. ^^ I hope you'll find a good drama you deem worthy of your time.

so disappointing i dropped it half way through the 4th episode i just couldn't force myself anymore! the main…
They weren't in love with each other from the start. They felt attraction towards each other and considered dating, but it wasn't love. It is clearly stated in the drama. Too bad you dropped it that early in the game, otherwise you could have seen how realistic the production portrayed the relationships. Personally I hate it when they call 'destiny!' after merely five minutes of having met, and I was sceptic when the first episode of their meeting was so cheesy. I wasn't disappointed by the rest of the development, though, it was handled very carefully. Considering you liked the medical and military aspect, I hope you'll give it another shot. :)

I'm sorry but the writer is hopeless. If only my friend didn't bother me every episode, I would've drop this drama…
I wrote that in reply to jinja b, who left a dozen of pointless one-word or sentence comments as replies to people. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but calling a person who's just doing their job 'pathetic' and constantly repeating the same degrading things over and over again just to piss fans of, doesn't seem to be the right way to go about it.
As I said, I wasn't referring to you, mezzy, sorry if you misunderstood.

Haha, tastes really do differ. I loved MLFAS as well, but I couldn't get into rooftop prince at all. Dropped it after three eps or so. I hope you'll enjoy I remember you :)

Yes, that is true. But unfortunately I had to switch to a completely different site because the new player they introduced to viki with the quality adapting didn't work for me. A shame, I really liked that site.

That ending, though... The final show-down between the prince and Choi Young should have been more epic. And then…
Agreed 100% :( Guess I gotta stick to Queen in Hyun's man for hot kisses hahaha

Japanese dramas are really a mystery to me. There are such cheesy and over exaggerated dramas that make you cringe and swear to never watch a japanese drama again. And then you stumble across a mellow, down-to-earth and heartfelt drama like 'Soratobu Kouhoushitsu', and you wonder how such opposites can exist.

This drama is definitely a slice-of-life piece, so if you don't enjoy stories of individual people, how they tackle their work and grow in life, you may want to pass this one. But if you, like me, appreciate the small details and want to feel that rush of emotion and energy that comes with each challenge they master, then you will definitely enjoy this.
It was a good change of pace after watching so many K-dramas, as this just has a different vibe to it. I would have liked to see their romantic relationship fleshed out more, but overall it was a lovely drama. 8 from me.

If you like Healer mostly for the romance, 'I remember you' might not satisfy you, as the romance is rarely expressed in 'skinship'. But the drama is superb, and the relationship between the two main leads is really great! I usually also prefer dramas with a good amount of romantic chemistry, but 'I remember you' is still a drama I'll rewatch many times :) Just give it a go, you probably won't be able to stop after watching the first episode :D

I wavered between 9.5 and 10.0. The 0.5 mainly because of the terrible English of most actors/bad foreign actors.…
Yes, the OST is amazing! I keep listening to it *O*

Don't be so critical :) Maybe this drama has a lack of one main storyline like other dramas, but there is a plot…
I agree with you, Aguszku. I think what this drama really wants is to inspire you and look at certain things with different eyes. When I witness how everyone, especially the doctors at the hospital, broadened their horizons and became better and wiser doctors, it really makes me feel like if everyone just did a little bit, if everyone cared as much, we would live in a much better world. Maybe it's impossible to save everyone, but if this drama inspires young and old to go out there and do some volunteer work, just a teeensy tiny bit, it has reached its goal. I don't understand why people say there is no story, just because the plot lines are subtle and woven from dozens of stories that in the end give a bigger picture. I am really trying to understand, but I can't. To me, this is what a slice-of-life drama should be like, similar to Reply 1988 and others. Anyway, to each their own, I suppose :)

Why are you still hanging around here, then? Go and move on to something greater, then. I only see you leave degrading comments wherever I go lol Got nothing better to do than bashing a perfectly fine drama? Ayay...

Have you seen City Hunter and I remember You? I think you'll like them if you enjoyed the Healer genre. 'It's Okay That's love' is also one of my favorites. It starts out mellow, but becomes more intense after time. :)

Really? XD This drama has more plot than 30 of the 40 dramas or so I've seen lol It's a medical and military drama, so naturally it will deal mostly with those two things. And, of course, the romance.

Yes! Watch it! It is different than healer, but it will probably make you cry more, yet laugh just as much. It's a wonderful drama in my opinion.

On Descendants of the Sun May 8, 2016
I wavered between 9.5 and 10.0. The 0.5 mainly because of the terrible English of most actors/bad foreign actors. It doesn't really matter though, because I am SO IN LOVE WITH THIS DRAMA! I've seen so many Korean Dramas by now, and it was so difficult to find something that breaks with the stereotypes. Descendants of the Sun might not be the best or most romantic or most exciting drama ever made, but it touches upon subjects that most asian dramas don't touch upon, and I really loved that. People who say this drama has no story, are obviously missing the point. Just because it doesn't deal with revenge plots, amnesia, evil in-laws, star-crossed lovers or noble sacrifice, doesn't mean there is no story. To be honest, I am not much of a fan of the military. I think that certain countries' armies have contributed more to death and suffering across the world than they have helped.

But, for the first time, I started thinking about it in a different way. Especially in countries we would consider peaceful, someone is putting their life on the line to keep that peace. No matter if they are doing so in your own country or somewhere far away. So, politics aside, it made be see the life of a soldier with different eyes. For the first time, I also realized what it must mean to be a doctor in a far away, war and disaster ridden land, and that a doctor should never distinguish between friend and foe when it comes to their duty to save lives.
I loved that the drama dealt with the romance in a mature way. None of the: "I fell in love with you on first sight and I've known you only for a week, but I'll love you till I die or sacrifice myself for you" crap. No matter how much you love someone, could you deal with the uncertainty whether he will ever come back from fighting at the front-lines?

This and more made me love the drama more than I can express. The lovely supporting cast, the amazing chemistry between the four leads, the suspense and tragic disasters, the heartbreak and comedic moments, that even though you just shed a river of tears will still make you laugh. And, lastly, can I just say, the adorableness that is Song Joong Ki (!!! I've loved him ever since Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and I am SO HAPPY he got this role!)
I whole-heartedly recommend this drama, and I assure you, if you appreciate the little and sincere moments and thoughts brought onto screen, you will love this.

Title Birth of a Beauty Spoiler
Are the writers in this completely retarded? If someone has a peanut allergy or whatever, you bring them to a hospital, or they could... I don't know... die. Gosh, the characters in this are so stupid, it's not even the only thing that doesn't make sense whatsoever xD
