I started watching this and only got half through the first episode. Even though her screen time was maybe like…
I don't know... I think there is awkwardness and then there is stupidity. Her character portrayal simply wasn't convincing for me...

I really, really liked this drama! It is so refreshing compared to most romance slice of life dramas out there, because of the flashback set-up and the 90s mood, and just because of all the quirky and funny characters in the show. When I see how they interact with each other, I feel it's so natural and makes me recall memories with my friends and family as well :) This show has a really melancholic feel to it, yet it's also merciless in the comedy department, there were so many times I just burst out laughing ;'D The fan fiction and fan meeting bits were so hilarious! I am just sad the first half of the series didn't have many romantic scenes of a certain couple, I would have liked to see more scenes that made my heart flutter theheee. Though I understand that it was important this way for the buildup of the story. Anyway, this is a really really sweet series!

I agree with the last comment. The music is good, but the drama seems like anime to me. I didn't like the slapstick…
Does this show actually have skinship/kisses? I watched the Korean Version and while I enjoyed the show a lot, I thought it was ridiculous that they exchanged vows and rings without even having kissed before. That's like... so unbelievable. Is it the same case for the japanese version?

this is a masterpiece and it does not deserve a 9.2. it deserves a higher score...
hm, i think rating shows with 1 star if you havent even seen most of it is ridiculous, but I also rated shows a 4 or 5, not even having completed it. If it's not good enough to hold my interest, I think it deserves that score. But anyway, don't forget people have very different taste and views upon things, so just keep it close to your heart and don't mind the trolls :)

Haha, I just checked, and Signal with 9.2 is currently the highest score for any drama out there. It even kicked 1 litre of tears of its #1 spot, haha. So really, I don't think it's possible to have a higher average. YWCFTS, Healer, Kill me heal me, they all fell below a score of 9.0, even.

I wonder why you say that, when 9.2 is one of the highest scores possible. This is an AVERAGE score. If you look at all the great dramas out there that were aired in the past couple of years, there are barely any above a rating of 9.0. So, 9.2 is a fantastic score, really.

I realized Kim Ah Joong and Lee Jong Suk totally look like twins *LEGASP* Especially their lips, jaw-line, (new) nose and general face shape. I think they should have sibling roles in a new drama :D

Title 200 Pounds Beauty Spoiler
Am I the only one a little disgusted with this movie? Its kind've an insult to overweight people. Is she suppose…
Even though this comment is old, I also don't see the movie as an insult. She felt alright the way she was and had more confidence when she was over-weight than after she got the surgery. But she got to a point where she was betrayed by the one she wanted to trust the most, which made her to want to change entirely. But in the end, she just isn't comfortable in her 'new' skin. As she stated in the end 'I don't even know who I am anymore'. In the movie it is mentioned that even though a lot of Koreans get plastic surgery, there are a lot of people (especially guys) who will tell you you're so pretty, but behind your back they'll badmouth you, because you got your face or body fixed. I think the scene in the movie where she realizes that she changed herself for someone who didn't even want her to change, was such a heartbreaking scene. It all comes down to the choices you make. The message of the movie is that, regardless of whether you get plastic surgery or not, you should be confident and love yourself. If you feel like you will be happier with a new face, if you feel like it's the only way you can live the way you want to, that's a choice as well. And if you feel like you're beautiful the natural way you are, then that's even better! But nobody should be criticized for their decisions.

On a different note, it is not even stated that she ends up with the guy she loved, maybe because she realized she only needs herself to be happy...

Title 200 Pounds Beauty Spoiler
I just really didn't like the male lead. The things he said to Ammy about Hannah in the bathroom in the beginning made me dislike him so much that I just couldn't change my mind about him. How could she still like him after hearing him say that she's fat and ugly and basically only exists for Ammy's sake and that they're using her??? He's such a jerk. That's why I couldn't feel any sincerity later on...

I really didn't think I would love this as much as I did. I was expecting something flat and shallow, but this exceeded my expectation by far. It was funny, refreshing and truly heartfelt.

BTW, are there any other similar dramas about dating an idol / idol in a relationship?
You're beautiful is a drama with dating in an idol group. I personally didn't like it very much because it was so cheesy and over the top, but a lot of people love the drama.

Title Twenty Years Old Spoiler
I really didn't like the end of the final episode. Why didn't they show how they made-up? I don't get it, after the concert the ending seemed so rushed, when she was like 'And we're still secretly dating', I was like: .... huh?? How did that happen? lol
It's a bit, I liked the rest, but this made me down-grade the rating to 6.5. :-/

It was really cute and made me smile a lot. However, the ending was.... weird. So anti-climatic lol

Happy or sad ending?
The ending will definitely leave you with a smile on your face, but some sad things do happen in the movie. Even so, it's a great movie, don't miss out on it :)

Hahaha, it is really so funny how people's tastes differ. :D When I read that you didn't find the two leads very beautiful, I was like: whuuuuut? XD While I think the girl has too sharp features at times, she is still very beautiful in my opinion, and the main guy is just SOOOOOOO gorgeous and adorable and hot (his body, unffff), HAHAH but yeah, as I said, people's tastes differ ;'D

On I Need Romance Season 3 Apr 14, 2016
What is special about this drama? First of all, once it ended, I realized there wasn't even one character that I hated or disliked. None of the despicable people that usually keep interfering or try to ruin you out of spite. Everyone had their own circumstances, which made their choices reasonable.
Secondly, there is neither a real 'main couple', nor a real 'love triangle'. I loved the dynamics between the four main leads, and as someone who avoids love triangles like the plague, I found that I cared so deeply for the characters, that even though my heart sometimes hurt for one of them, I could sincerely appreciate all the affection they showed toward each other. Kang Tae Joon and Joo Wan are both such great guys, if I could ever find someone who would smile at me like that, I'd already be happy! :D
Thirdly, there was really no unnecessary drama. How refreshing was that!
This drama is simply a realistic, down-to-earth, yet passionate slice-of-life drama, that perfectly sheds light on the heaven and hell of dating. I love the mature approach, the conversations that aren't forced, and the struggles that make you remember your own. You can really learn a lot from this drama.
Lastly, finally we have some ACTUAL making out. Can we just take a moment to appreciate that there's a K-drama that breaks with the usual romance traditions? The chemistry in some of those scenes is seriously no joke *fans air* haha
All in all, simple yet beautiful drama that warms your heart! 8 from me. :)

Person Sung Jun
I hope this guy gets a role where he plays someone with a similar age range.
You should watch 'I need romance 3', he plays a 25 year old in that drama :) Generally I think he looks older than 25, but he really fit that role and the drama is pretty good! I loved his character there much more than in Madame Antoine, for example.

Oh my god, I am exactly the same! All the dramas you mentioned are my favorites, and also the kisses that made me feel the most. Of course, the final kiss in YWCFTS still makes my heart flutter, but the ones you picked just make you feel warm and cozy inside. And just as you said, there are types of kisses that make you go like: 'not again'.
If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend Queen InHyun's man. It has fantastic kisses.
