City Hunter deserves a perfect score of 10, just for its soundtrack alone xD There are so many memorable tracks in the OST. Sad Run, The Fire of Love, Hot Spade, Glory of the City, City Hunter, and, one of the most gripping ones: Endless Crying. I don't know how many times I've listened to those tracks.

I'll definitely also check out the other OSTs you mentioned. The King2Hearts had some beautiful scores, as did Pinocchio (Tears in the Crowd, Calm and Passion) and Scholar Who Walked the Night ('Hot Tension', 'Endless Run'). Not all of them are Action OSTs, but they are beautiful regardless. I am a sucker for beautiful OSTs, haha.

If you want a cutesy, cheesy drama with loads of romance, nice imagery and overall likeable characters in a not very realistic world, this drama is for you.

If you, like me, expect a lot of badass action and unforeseen developments, as well as trials to be overcome due to it being a 'mafia' world – you will probably be disappointed.

I absolutely loved the first couple of episodes, despite the general cheesiness at all times, and had high expectations. I was sure it would become a favorite of mine, a gem in dramaland, following in the footsteps of an epic setup such as the legendary manga 'Tokyo Crazy Paradise'. Sad to say, I was sorely disappointed, and kept changing my rating until, at the final episode, I settled for a generous 6.0.

As I said, it's a lovely drama, but it's so very predictable, and lacks realism, action and the excitement a gender-bender Mafia setup should offer.

I almost liked everything if not for that annoying main woman lead such an idiot bitch ...
I don't think she was that bad xD And she did have her purpose in the latter episodes. Well, it'd have been better if she had been more badass, but well... can't have everything, I guess. At least we got Lee Joon Gi and Jung Kyung Ho <3

Wow, I just finished, and I am speechless. This was such a roller coaster ride. I marathoned through the series because I just couldn't stop. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. In terms of action and story-build up it was excellent. This series definitely accumulated a lot of clichés (first loves, revenge, secret-identities and others i won't mention because of spoilers), but don't let those stop you from watching it. It's really a superb drama, and even the 'bad' guys, don't seem so bad at some point anymore.
The romance was heart-wretching at times, yet sweet at others. Judging by the comments, a lot of people seemed to hate the leading lady with a passion. While I wouldn't call her my favorite, I think she was alright. Only in the last episodes, she got a bit on my nerves with her lack of common sense lol
The father-son relationships, and especially the relationship between the two brothers, was one of the reasons why I loved this drama so much.
A MUST-WATCH for everyone who loves action paired with romance! It wasn't perfect, but a very good Triad drama!

So the question is, is it like Coffee Prince where the Drama describes how they live with that gender bender thing…
I did like the first couple of episodes. But as soon as you feel it gets boring, I'd drop it. I made the mistake to watch until the end because I was waiting for it to become interesting again, but for me, it didn't. However, a good friend of mine adores this drama. So it really comes down to preference :)

It doesn't get resolved very fast. It's more along the lines of Zifeng saying he doesn't care if he dates a guy, because he loves her/him just the same. So until the last episode she remains a 'guy'. However, it is different from Coffee Prince in the aspect that in this drama people are too accepting. It's unrealistic and very cheesy. They basically act like an heterosexual couple and look like one too, even though they are supposedly two men dating. xD If you don't like cheesy stuff, this will probably be too boring for you.

"Dad, i've let you down.' 'No, you've never let me down, not even now.' WTF?? We are talking about a freaking…
To be honest, I am conflicted. I enjoyed the first six episodes or so a lot, but then it became more and more boring for me. However, I really do dislike cheesy stuff, which makes up about 80 percent of this drama, which is why i found it boring. About the human thing... i just think it is weird how the triad 'world' they live in, deals with cases like that murder. I just don't think it makes much sense. But it's not like they're all cruel. Just too forgiving maybe?
I think there are definitely better dramas out there, and i won't watch it again, but it's also not totally terrible.

Ahh, I watched the entirety of this because of Baron Chen, Wow, that guy is so good looking. As for the story,…
I totally agree, it might have been nicer to see Zifengs conflict of being in love with someone of the same sex a bit more (which was really done well f.e. in Coffee Prince) or at least show his curiosities once he has accepted it. Unless he was indeed bisexual from the start, but it is never implied and I do not believe that.
In reality though, I think hardly anyone can be considered 100% straight or gay. It's a thinking that society has taught us ever since we were little, so we never even consider it a possibility that there might be someone of the same-sex we find attractive. I am not saying that everyone is bi-sexual, I am just saying that there might be that one person out there who would make you question your sexuality. However, I do think that those cases start out primarily with a strong emotional bond and a secondary sexual attraction. Well, who knows, I think Coffee Prince definitely wins over this drama in terms of gender-bender love.

'No, you've never let me down, not even now.'

WTF?? We are talking about a freaking MURDER here. Two people died. No matter if it's his son or whoever, how can you say he didn't let you down? The way this drama deals with the death of innocent people is ridiculous. I don't care if they're in the triad or whatever, it's about the morals of a human being.
Also, how Qingyang said he won't resent the murderer of his parents but forgive instead, or how Zifeng can say he'd still believe in him despite him trying to kill him SEVERAL times. Does that make any sense? No. The people in this drama seem to have no common sense whatsoever. Being forgiving is great, but there's a line. If someone killed my parents for a reason like that, I sure as hell wouldn't be able to let it go that easily.

So far I just thought the drama was just a tad bit too cheesy, but watchable apart from that. But wow, that really left me speechless just now...

Is it just me, or is the audio in this drama really bad? Background noises and music are so loud, that they drown…
:( I think partly it's because Chinese/Mandarin doesn't have much intonation to our ears, so it sounds subdued. But then they should adjust the music and at least filter the background noises... It bugged me so much everytime they were at a crowded place or even a deserted alley or park when in the distance you could loudly hear busses and shouting and laughing. :( I've been watching mostly Korean and japanese dramas, so I guess i'm used to that 'clear' sound.

I was in the mood for a bitter-sweet movie like this. It was really beautiful and heartfelt. The acting was great, especially Han Hyo Joo's. Kim Jae Joong also played his part well, I actually liked him more here than in protect the boss.

I think the second half of the movie is balanced better than the first, but I also liked the light-heartedness of the beginning. The cinematography was especially beautiful. I can really recommend this movie. 8.5

Kyaaaa omg, this drama must have one of the longest kisses in drama history LOLOL d'awwww, that first kiss was…
Why? XD I didn't say who kissed whom or in which episode or what circumstances or whatever o.o it's labeled as romance, so there ought to be a kiss at some point, right? haha

Ah, also, because I am a costume designer myself, I have to nitpick about some of the costume choices here. The character design of Isabella was really terrible. In the anime she is of exceptional beauty, class and grace. In the movie her look is tasteless, more like a mere cross-dresser. George is much less eccentric compared, his style is too simple to fit his nature. His personality also doesn't go at all with his simplistic and modern apartment. Lastly.. just what did they do to the runway dress??? I was shocked, it looked so cheap, not at all like I imagined it to be. That was a real disappointment :( Oh well, i'll stop nagging now lol I did like the costume design for Yukari and for the art school student...

I am a bit conflicted about this movie. I really love the original source this was adapted from, especially how realistic the manga and anime portray relationships. Love can be very fickle, but it can also lift you to places you never even dreamed of going. It is very difficult to compress a several-volume manga into less than two hours of screetime, and unfortunately, this is the biggest shortcoming of the movie. The filming, music, cast and acting were really well done. I also applaud the set design, which was close to the original, yet had a fresh spark to it. The crew really made Yazawa Ai's world come alive.
However, the most important part, the dynamic between the characters, falls short. By that I don't mean to say it's a bad movie, because I think they wrote quite a steadfast script and adapted it well. But if you know the source, you most likely will be left disappointed at how superficial the characters seem in comparison. Where is the push-and-pull relationship between George and Yukari, that made our hearts ache and flutter equally in the manga and anime? Why don't we get to see any of the scars that the characters carried with them? Why can't I help but think that the ending that I had wished for so much in the original, doesn't make much sense in this movie, because their love simply wasn't portrayed deep enough to persevere? I constantly wished for 'more', something of that spark and pain and passion that made me fall in love with ParaKiss.

In conclusion I can say this is a nicely done romcom, especially if you do not know the original, but it definitely didn't leave an impression as strong as the source.

I am not sure, but it really does look like the same place. And in Iljimae there is also a tree that looks strikingly similar LOL Every historical drama seems to have a lone tree on top of a hill like that XD
