some ppl have been making it seem like concerns about the nc scenes being edited or taken out are just about wanting to goon or whatever, so i wanna reiterate my view on things:
overall, a slow burn is supposed to build up to something. if we don’t feel like we’ve reached the peak the story was leading towards, it usually ends up feeling kind of flat or meh. i can think of several bls that have had this issue tbh.
in this series, part of the buildup has been physical intimacy. one of the central plot points, of the last ep is wsw feeling scared to have sex with cc.
the narrative has been priming us for wsw confronting that fear and finally choosing to be physically intimate with cc. not delivering on that could make the arc feel incomplete. so much of his inner conflict is about realizing his sexuality might not be what he always believed. imo he’s not just scared of sex, he’s scared of what it means if he wants it, if he initiates it. it forces him to question the future he’s always imagined for himself (a wife, bio kids) and reckon with the idea that his future might not turn out that way. skipping over that or watering it down could imo make the episode(s) feel unresolved or half-baked, and i imagine the editing would also end up being pretty choppy.
not every story needs physical intimacy if that’s HOW it’s written to be. but if that’s the direction it’s been leaning into the whole time, like with RL, leaving it out can make things feel anticlimactic, narratively.
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more…
LMAO yeah the probably saw fans assuming it was just a viu thailand issue and ran with that excuse since it was so convenient. its kinda funny when you think about it but whatever
when the series ends with a fistbumb and cc calling wsw his best bro we’ll know 😭😭 (kidding)
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more…
yea, not to induce panic (again my PERSONAL opinion) but it sounds like a bullshit excuse bcs they didn’t have the foresight to realize their radio silence and vague ass post would cause panic and backlash, and they want to hide that they’re editing the series. it’s just too easy to have included in their original post, so i don’t believe it. if im wrong, which is possible, then its still annoying bcs they have unnecessarily and unwittingly raised my blood pressure and thrown tian under the bus when he is already going thru so much. i want to give that man a hug. he’s a big part of what made this series what it is, and all he’s getting from it is harassment.
If the issue really lies with the Thai dubbing, then why not just say that outright? It’s not that hard. A simple,…
LITERALLY! that is such an easy explanation that would sooth ppl’s worries so much and protects tian from more harassment. at best, this is an example of some of the worst communication i’ve ever seen, which is infuriating tbh and erodes my trust in them. at worst, the dubbing thing is just a bs excuse (or not the full story). i guess we will see
"It has been paused due to dubbing issues in Thailand to ensure a globally synchronized release. It is expected…
if that’s true, then they should say that as part of their official announcement? instead of worrying the fuck out of everyone and leading fans to blame tian. he’s been harassed enough.
I knew I shouldn’t have started this drama!!! I had faith because no Chinese sites were funding or distributing…
yeah i’m lowkey regretting having watched this but like that famous quote says, its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all…this bl made me really happy for like 3 weeks so whatever happens at least there was that haha
What tf is ppls issue with TXN? Pls I’m reading through some comments on twt and what’s with putting the blame…
literally! it’s ironic bcs i wouldn’t be surprised if tian’s harassment is part of the reason we’re in this mess in the first place and instead of realizing that and shutting tf up ppl are like let’s harass him some more. UGH
huh? where did you get this info that this postponement is bcs of tian’s company?
the same weibo that has been unfairly dragging that man thru the mud and accused him of having 16 baby mamas, 25 kids, 2 wives, and whatever the hell else ✋ imma take that opinion with a mountain of salt
my honest unfiltered opinion (opinion not fact so don’t let it panic it you bcs i’m just guessing too) is,…

Do you think they're really making cuts? But... Why? Is the obsessed reaction of Chinese fans the real reason?…
my honest unfiltered opinion (opinion not fact so don’t let it panic it you bcs i’m just guessing too) is, i do think they’re toning down the upcoming episodes. they obviously hoped the series would be a success, but i don’t think they expected quite this level of attention to the point of the actors being more or less mobbed. and with this extra attention, especially on the actors, i think they’re nervous to be as risky or daring with scenes.
i also think theyre hoping the delay will let things cool down a bit, but im not sure how much that would help tbh. if some “fans” are deranged enough to buy plane tickets to stalk and harass the actors, i don’t think a week or even 3, or 4 will be enough for them to chill tf out.
as for the viewing schedule, i wouldn’t be surprised if they change it to speed things up.
i know quite a few people have said they don’t care if scenes are cut as long as the show continues airing, but i care man 😭 i don’t think scenes are done meaninglessly. i think every second contributes to the story in its own way, and i think kisses, touches, and sex are part of the plot. i think removing them or significantly toning them down absolutely affects the story we’re told.
someone in the comments said when they originally watched it, the scene was there, but now it’s gone. i dunno, but when i watched it on gaga it wasn’t there, so the scene was cut.
so the original creators have officially made an announcement. viu was right. monday and tuesday’s episodes are postponed except the original creators didn’t say they will be postponed for a week, but rather they will announce a new viewing schedule shortly. i kinda had a feeling tbh, so personally im not that surprised.
since we know they have cut one scene for sure in ep 10, i wonder if they’re re-editing the rest of the series to tone it down or if they’re just waiting for things to cool off since the harassment and attention the actors are getting from chinese fans is insane or both or neither?
