nah, they didn’t do IT, but they did more than makeout, i think. the gagaoolala subs he’s says “it hurts. if you dare go in there again, i’ll kill you” and in the novel, which i’ve started skimming recently, cc fingers him. (there’s a bit more after that in the novel, but i don’t think it applies for the drama since it’s missing the dialogue. either way they don’t actually have full on penetrative sex yet).

nope, it was egregious. atp i kinda just mentally blank out what i don’t like in the series. it’s also why i wouldn’t recommend this series to anyone who asks for recs despite enjoying it

as someone whose favorite BL drama doesn’t even include a kiss scene (hence the pfp), the way NC scenes and kiss scenes are being talked about here, presumably in defense of the show, is grating on my nerves. personal opinion about the kiss scene today aside (but yea i liked it but found the editing mad distracting), the general idea that kissing or sex scenes are somehow separate from the plot, especially in a romance, doesn’t make sense. kissing, sex, and other physical intimacy are a part of a lot of romantic relationships, and in a romance that intimacy reveals building emotional connection and moves the story forward. not to mention, it’s literally a plot point that wsw is nervous about having sex with a man. it’s not gratuitous to show that. it’s relevant. framing caring about how these scenes are portrayed as fetishistic or morally wrong is, at best, unfair? these scenes are part of the story, which means it is completely valid to critique how they’re handled, just like any other aspect of the show. idk if it’s because i’m gay so extra sensitive about this stuff, but there’s something irritating about the way people jump to moral panic whenever queer intimacy is discussed. it’s giving there’s an underlying perception that gay sex is taboo and dirty and we should look away and not think too deeply about or enjoy it….
