In previous episodes, I found FFB slimy and did not feel swayed. In today's episode when he asked her to give up being a princess and go wander the world for him, I could feel that he would have done just that if he didn't feel like owes someone something. I felt bad for him when she tested him and he failed the test since you could literally see the moment she put up the icy wall.
