Are people trashing the actress herself or the character? There is a difference.
Well, characters are meant to be discussed, praised, and/or criticized. It's really interesting that everyone is openly criticizing and cursing some of the other characters in the show, but when someone criticizes the female lead character (which, in my opinion, is not an exception to the rule ) we have separate comments chastising people for criticizing her character. Very interesting.
