Airing dates in any entertainment industry in the world are never determined by the directors. The directors are just employees of the Executive Producers which are usually the studio or platforms that funded the production of the show or
movie. The executive producers are the ones to determine the best time for a drama to air. The only circumstance in which a director can have a say over the airing date is if they own a production company that participated in the funding of the show/movie because that would also make them an executive producer. ( For example, George Lucas could have a say over the airing of Star Wars because he owned Lucasfilms which co-produced it. The same applies to James Cameron and his Avatar series) I'm not the one who's overly biased here because these are objective facts that can be revealed with a little research on your part

😂 And you're the bias free one here I guess. Bffr. I started watching TSL which I wasn't even considering in the first place because BFTB was delayed and I wanted to see what it was replaced with. I moved past that disappointment like every normal person would have done but unfortunately some people can't let go of the resentment resulting from that disappointment. Instead they're are stuck making up conspiracy theories for a show that was slightly delayed

TSL is airing on two TV stations. These TV stations co-produced the drama with Youku and then gave Youku a specific timeslot. TV dramas have a fixed airing schedule while web dramas have a more flexible schedule therefore TV dramas are usually given priority to air. Because BFTB is web only drama, Youku had to follow the TV schedule and push BFTB to a future date because it's not profitable for them to air 2 Xianxia dramas at the same time. They'll lose a lot money if they do so. It has nothing to do with TSL having a better backer

True, I remember a lot of people had this same issue with ALP and LLTG but they both ended up having very satisfying plots as the story progressed

Chill, the show has 40 episodes and we've barely gotten to episode 10. If it's following a 3 act structure of storytelling then these first few episodes are just the setup for everything that's going to happen later

Everyone seems to be complaining about how nothing is happening with the ML and FL's storyline and that all the action has been reserved for the SML and SFL in the void. Well, I guess that's probably because for once we're watching a Xianxia drama that begins at point where the Heavenly realm is in peacetime. The Main leads are in heaven which is ordinarily an idyllic and peaceful place where everything and everyone is good. So, nothing extraordinary like the succession fight going on in the void should be happening there.

The way I see it, what would disturb the idyllic peace the main leads are enjoying right now is probably going to start from the void and boil over into the heavens. I think they're still setting up that conflict without rushing things (to make the plot more believable I guess especially since the realms just had a marriage alliance that's supposed to make the peace last longer)

You can either pay for VIP on the respective apps or on their respective YT channels. It's easier for me to pay for VIP on YouTube because I don't want to have to download multiple apps to watch shows but Youku recently stopped giving their members on
YT access to advance episodes because they want more people to use their app.

No, it's best not to get pay for ViP on YT. Youku is trying to get more of their viewers to use their app so they treat YT VIPs like free watchers

The SML keeps his real hair long as so he doesn't need a wig. Though I think he usedsome hair extensions to make it a bit more longer. I wish more actors grew out their hair like him

I love his character so much. I hope we get more Xianxia MLs like him. No more perfect heavenly princes who are effortlessly cool and can do no wrong.

If there's this much comedy in the early episodes of a show then expect tons of heartache and pain later. I'm bracing myself for when they'll pull the rug away from us
