Come on now. You know that's not true. Yeah, the kissing isn't great but saying they don't have chemistry is wild
Resorting to ad hominems now are we? This seems a little too much like projection to me. Clearly I'm not the one here obsessing about, and I quote "the chemistry of a sexual variety" as between the leads. Maybe you should have left it out of the convo instead of bringing it up in the first place.
Come on now. You know that's not true. Yeah, the kissing isn't great but saying they don't have chemistry is wild
Exactly! It's a cdrama. Which is why sexual chemistry isn't really necessary. If they have enough acting skills and onscreen chemistry to sell a romance it's fine. IMO Sexual chemistry becomes a necessity when you're required to act a love scene together. If this were a show like Bridgerton then complaints about lack of sexual chemistry is valid

They have just enough to sell the idea that there's a romance between their characters. We as the viewers don't necessarily need them to have intense sexual chemistry...they're co-workers and are not in a relationship. Besides they're starring in a cdrama which is usually infamously censored and not a R-rated erotic romantic drama so we're aware of exactly what we're watching and are managing our expectations
Ya'll do realize that many of ya'lls visceral hatred of Ye Xian proves my point that he's the best written character…
Well written ≠ Likable character and Badly written ≠ Unlikable character. A villain can be well written and a protagonist designed to be loved by the audience can have a badly written character arc.
Nobody is doubting that Ye Xian is a well written . The fact that he's is provoking a lot of negative emotions in the viewers means the scriptwriter was very successful in creating a believable polarising character.
Last time I checked on Douban it had bumped up to a 5.7, but yep, still way too low. But... I'm not surprised.…
The First Frost used MDL ratings to promote the show after they got a disappointing Douban score. I know another show did that too but I don't remember which one exactly
They're telling you to delete it so the site won't be taken down for copyright reasons. Mentioning openly like this it is only going to make the people who can't afford to pay for streaming services lose access to it permanently
I was confused by sister in-law’s reaction to Chen Yan Yu’s discussion of his proposal to Jin zhao. Is she…
Maybe they shifted GJZ's original storyline in the novel to her. Before her rebirth GJZ married CYY to be close to CXQ. Maybe this Sister in-law likes CYY and married his brother because she thought she'll be close to him
I have some questionsthis drama is a bit confusing, and the fact that the names of the characters are not subtitled…
1) He killed Prince Ruichang's eldest son. The ML suspects that the Prince is about to rebel against the Emperor 2) The cover story is that Chen Xuanqing was adopted because his adopted father (ML's brother) died childless but the real story is that his biological father was a rebel who saved the ML and the ML was repaying the life debt.
I'm sad that they get married maybe only at ep 27-28 & then it's ended at ep 36, I want to see their sweet…
Yunhe is showing it as 40 episodes. Maybe it's a mistake/default setting on the Iqiyi app and their app's software developers haven't fixed it since Iqiyi dramas rarely go beyond 36 episodes
I like the way that even the women who prove to be villainous are given their moment in the show to speak their…
This!! Most times there's a tendency to write the concubines as very one dimensional villains. That moment between Concubine Song and Madam Ji is one of the best scenes in this drama
Yes, Ji'er deserved to be punished but beating her to death is overkill for what she actually did.
If she wasn't engaged in illegal activities why would she care that a maid went to serve tea to a husband she doesn't even love or care about.
