Gong Zi Shang is such a freaking nutcase, I love her!ππ Ep 18 is so far my favourite, such tension, skill & humour on display! I was om the edge of my toes watching it.
I've been taking my sweet time with it, savouring every scene in every episode. Its such a rewarding, delightful experience! Will be back when I finish π€π€π€

The chemistry between fl & ml seemed rather forced at some point, I doubt if a noble woman in that era would be soo quick to initiate physical intimacy without reservation, but I figured they attributed it to the fact that Xueying discovered her history with Junxing & was eager to get closer to him (whom she probably fell in love with when she saved). That grandma was sooo dumb & too easily manipulated it was infuriating. And she never appropriately apologise to & compensate Xueying even after cases were solved. Annoyingπ«€ π And what is the problem of that pervert prince Ning guy? Sicko! Lu Liang was such an idiotic loserπππ.
QTY who played Lu Junxing kinda tried to give Duke Su (The Double) vibes in my opinion. He did relly well in Fated Hearts, I was surprised he's the same person here.
I think they owe it to us to have explained the reason for the repeated rebirths. As for the ending, this is probably the 1st time I was dissatisfied seeing a character change positively. I kinda wanted Yu'er to stay wicked & still get her comeuppance the 3rd timeππ. Still, it was a good show. I'd rate it a 7.5.
I discovered this drama on YouTube & was attracted to its colourful vibes. The revenge was satisfying to watch. At first, the short length of the episodes had me fuming because the story & revenge were so good I wanted more, but towards the end I grew tired & exasperated with Jiang Yu'er's wickedness & annoying face. Why did they keep painting her eyes red? πIt did not suit her at all, made her look ghostly. More in the spoiler below...π
The tension & chemistry is so palpable, the mystery and martial arts skills soo electrifying, the cinematography is topnotch, the locations are so picturesque...I could go on & onπ.
And don't even get me started on the actors! Everyone perfect in their roles, as if they have existed only to play their characters. I love me some Zhang Ling He π₯°π, but man! Cheng Lei looks sooooo deliciously dark, mysterious, dangerous & attractive in thisβΌοΈπ€©π. His side eye and sly smile are truly a thing of beauty to behold!π₯°.
