Is the female lead the same as from the first season? I'm so confused, there are times where it looks like it's a different actress. Please tell me it's my eyes because I really like the original actress, and I see there on the cast it says it's the actress from the first season.

That one was actually my first Asian drama, that drama is the drama that introduced me to the world of Asian dramas, and I enjoyed it, it sparked my interest in Asian dramas. Then TMOPB was my second watch and it completely made me fall in love with specifically Chinese historical dramas.

Ok, thank you. I will watch that after watching a modern light drama first. Don't like watching one chinese historical drama after another. Chinese historical dramas are quite heavy.

Still quite new as an asian drama watcher. First time posting comment.
I fairly enjoyed the drama, even though there were some draggy parts, some over dramatic acting, plot holes, and also felt like the trailer mislead my expectations of what the drama is mainly about, (some scenes on the trailer are not what they seem to be in the trailer in the actual drama--hope that grammatically makes sense) but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
Loved the OTP. Eish the way Wu Ji looked at Fu Yao ohh mann...

Thought the chemistry was good.
I saw quite a few comments on the "not feeling their chemistry", please may I ask for recommendation of chinese dramas with lit chemistry between the OTP (I'm a sucker for romance dramas--current favourite is TMOPB), because for me if the chemistry between the Legend of Fu Yao OTP was not good ( it wasn't lit but it was good still) I'd like to see what is...so recommendations please
