It's good so far. Reminds me of Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty but better visuals. I find it more captivating.

I agree, if fans stay rational and just enjoy the drama like any other dramas it will help. I think what got BL adaptations in trouble was because WoH exploded and fans were getting too crazy. Also companies were producing too many BL adaptations at same time. Everyone was competing to film one. With censorship, most BLs end up being bromance anyways on screen so I hope they will change their minds and let at least some of the series air. I'm actually really waiting for all 3 of the above you mentioned but also Eternal Faith aka Heaven Official Blessing. Thank goodness the books of these series have gotten translated into English so I can still enjoy the story even if I can't see the live adaptations. But crossing fingers.

Oh gosh I hope it won't be a tragic ending. I can't believe Peter Ho was such a sweet character in Nothing Gold Can Stay yet in this series he is becoming such a scary king. I think if the young crown prince was able to become king things may have worked out better for our main couple 😥

It's weird. I read about the cuts prior to watching, but after watching I don't notice any weird cuts. The flow is not abrupt or awkward and the story is progressing well. I'm watching on Iqiyi

Yeah, I would have preferred if he had his own love storyline instead of a love triangle.

Yeah the cuts are awkward and cuts the flow of things. I suspect this was a longer series and maybe they had to do a massive cut to reduce the episodes but still. The choice of what and where to cut is so badly done. I'm watching the series but also pressing the skip button a lot.

I'm curious too. Why couldn't she just tell him that a curse worm went in him so he can get it out. This part doesn't make sense.

After watching until the last episode. I have to say Fort's acting is better than Peat overall, especially for the emotional scenes despite him being younger. This my own opinion and I understand others may feel differently but this is my observation throughout their story. Overall though it was an enjoyable series to watch. I do feel like it would have been better if they intertwined the two stories rather than have the focus on one for the first half then focus on the other for the second half.
