FL's mother truly is one of the greatest characters in this series

The young emperor truly should carry part of the blame for the empress dowagers' usurpation .. even till the end, he lacks the ability to do what must be done for the good of everyone and led to his own death

I also liked the deaths, it makes sense, it's war, there's never going to be a happy ending, someone's going to die

It's technically open ending, but imo I seriously don't think it's a sad ending like they gave us all the hints we need that they lived soooo

It's impossible that the girl hallucinated everything at the end, and she was obviously not dead so it wasn't like everyone died and met in heaven or something. I've always thought that the main cp survived and just found a peaceful life off screen, had a child, etc. etc.

I was just happy they cancelled the arranged marriage between FL and that creep, and then they arranged another between her poor cousin and princess
