1. They play her as a girl that doesn't ever wear.Makeup and you could obviously see it in her tomboy.Looks she's…
I somewhat agree with you.. but in my point of view, she was so much more confident in hs, where she had shorter hair. she just has expectations of having longer hair, being more feminine and start wearing makeup. When you've worn a uniform for the past few years, you'll typically loose your sense of style. Also- I think we all loose our selves once in a while cuz of expectations that were set in us mentally, but don't understand that sometimes, going back, being confident in one self is the key. But then again, she was also bright as a person, it was just her physical look that was bugging her. When everyone around you is so bright, you can't help yourself but wonder about your appearance as well, and that's exactly what happened to the FL. And mind you, after 5 years, her fashion and makeup wan't too feminine, but she did look stronger and confident on her own. She owned that suit and heel outfit! Her look was such a great combination of who she is a s a person.
this is the first time in years watching Hana Kimi because it's now available on Netflix. It's one of my favourite shows when I was a pre-teen, but I never realised how problematic it it. It has bullying, breach of privacy, homophobia, SA, negative stereotypes etc. (and I'm only in ep 3) I want to hate it but it's too goddamn FUNNY. All of the character's synergy fit so well with each other and it's really fun to watch if you just turn off your critical skills for just a moment. Also- it fascinates me how the bgm really sets up the mood in a comical matter even though the things coming out of their mouths are NOT it
minghao's new face lift was the right move, but it's making his acting.... uncanny.. compared to his earlier works. his eyes and eyebrows are doing all of the acting
someone pair him up with an older woman in a rom-com! even though his character in Echoes of the Self is supposed to be somewhat serious, his puppy-like personality shines through the screen
the plot was really captivating at first but then you realise that 95% of the screen time is just the two leads jumping around in 3 locations.. they're either at a house, work or a random event. it got so boring once you see the patterns and figure out what the characters would typically do. and that ending was... disgusting. that last episode was unnecessary.
ML calling her 손님 (literally customer) the WHOLE drama was fingers on a chalkboard for me. they could’ve…
I fully understand what you mean and it kinda annoyed me too.. the lamest excuse I can think of is on ep 3, they get misunderstood with "son-nim" as her pet name
Her look was such a great combination of who she is a s a person.
I totally agree with nr 3 tho
also- love the lighting and colourgrading!
