Also, I'm mad that Mu Le's brother and his boyfriend were the same person... and don't tell me they were just friends that, is all in my perverted mind... no... the sexual tension between those two spoke volumes. I know China has the restrictions and we can't actually see it, but I was happy picturing behind closed doors *giggles*... anywaisss... *serious face* just when I was ready to see Mu Le grab his woman and hold her tight... you kill him? and vanishing like that?

This is one of the few dramas that I have no idea how in the hell is gonna end... I just hope is not a cliffhanger.

I never read the novel, so this my opinion about the female lead. I believe she never really loved the emperor. Her first and only love was Fu Heng. At one point, she told him that she would never let go of her revenge, no matter what it took. The first empress told her that in order to obtain her goal, she needed patience and power. She loved Fu Heng but the desire for vengeance was bigger, so she let go of him so he can fulfill his dream of being a successful war general. Even tho, she got rid of the prince's mother, the prince was still a culprit in her sister dismay so, by marrying the emperor, she could obtain that power to finally make the prince pay for her sister's rape. She knew was what's going on between the prince, the eunuch, and the empress and with patience let the whole thing unfold knowing it would end the prince. In this lifetime they couldn't be together, due to goals and timing... But one thing is clear, she NEVER looked at the emperor or talked to the emperor the same way she looked and talked to Fu Heng, she didn't even express love towards the emperor. That's why she promised to be with Fu Heng in the next lifetime. This theory might different from the novel, but this is only my personal opinion from the drama... I just wished that somehow she would have ended up with Fu Heng in this lifetime.

"A story revolving around a palace maid with a plucky attitude, street smarts, and a good heart as she maneuvers the dangers in the palace to become a concubine of Emperor Qian Long". - That's the first paragraph of the description... so again... when did I spoil it for you???

I enjoyed the drama, but I was hoping for a different ending... I wonder if she ever really loved the emperor at all.

Soooooo many questions... Wth?.. I enjoyed the drama but the ending did not give any closure. I don't know how to feel about it.

2nd watched and still gave me all the waves of emotions I felt like the first time I watched it. This drama is simply amazing. Great acting, great plots, great costumes, great Ost, great fighting scenes and great MCs... oh and Ethan shirtless <3

I read in another discussion board that there might be part two because it continues in the novel. Also, read that the poem left on the fan as actually a code giving the coordinate where Chang An actually is... Can anybody who read the novel confirm this, please? <3

I thought the ending was shitting too until I read somewhere that there might be part 2 and that the message on the fan she had was the coordinate where Chang An was located... IF that's the case the I'm dying to see season 2 and the ending of season 1 doesn't seem so bad... again IF that's the case.

Finished and OMG! I loved every minute of it, such a rare and amazing drama. The female MC is really good, when she was in pain, I was in pain too. I loved the plots, the music (oh the amazing music), the characters, the love and hate... LOVED IT ALL!!! 9.5/10.

On Epi 28: The level of deceiving in this drama is on an epic level... I can't see a happy ending for the MCs with all their shading and deceiving acts... Still, I'm enjoying the plot, it keeps me looking forward to the next episode.
