I agree, some stories in asian production (dramas, movies, animes) are too cruel and sad and not anyone can handle this torture, I was chocked while watching "The crucible" and "Grave of the fireflies" for example, two stories that shattered my faith in humanity but it's real life and it was based on true events unfortunately. Anyway I'll add 3-iron to my list, the plot sounds really interesting ^^

I understand ^^ most of people doesn't like sad ending stories, for me it's ok when it's realisctic and logical, I've already watched a lot of western movies and dramas and it upset me that at the most of them everyone dies but the main characters and it has to be a happy ending no matter what lol ! when I discovered asian dramas, I was glad to find that the stories were more realistic, with less miracles and more slice of life stories. The characters doesn't have to be bad or good, they are just humains and they can make mistakes sometimes or die. Crying while watching those sad stories help me sometimes relieve my stress, but I enjoy also happy ending stories haha !!
For Padam padam, there were miracles and angels and a lot of fantazy, they could've just add one miracle and let Kang Chil heal from his cancer and live happily with his adorable family and lover, he really deserves it :(

I've just finished this little gem of drama and i'm glad that the story ends in a sweet and heartwarming way even if i don't mind sad endings but that would be too unfair to yang Kang Chil ^^
Over all the drama deserves 9/10, some details upset me a little that's why I couldn't give it a 10/10:
-the romance started very well and kind of dragged in the end.
-It would be better if the drama was made of 16 or 18 episodes instead of 20 'cause after the third miracle nothing much happened and there was a lot of unnecessary scenes with just talking and blabbering.
-the cancer was a little bit too much and not really necessary in the story wich was very unique and original, besides, i've already watched a lot of asian dramas with terminal diseases and i've became a little bit insensitive to those kind of stories, especially when they are unnecessary ^^

Yeah it's a cultural thing, for me it depends of the drama and the story, sometimes I enjoy it and sometimes it gets on my nerves haha ! It's very refreshing to see adults behave really like adults in this drama, same goes for the romance, i liked the flirting parts in the begining ^^ I still have three episodes to watch and after i finish it you have to tell me about the thing that upset you so we can compare our views ^^

Realistic "adult themed" dramas are actually my favourites, since I'm a 30 years old ahjummah but I don't mind watching good or silly rom-coms from time to time, as a break between too strong dramas ^^ I'm discovering Jung Woo Sung in this drama and he's just amazing ! same for the rest of the cast, everyone fit perfectly with his character ^^ Thanks ^^

The story is quite original and unusual, full of surprises and twists, i can't guess how it will end ! the relationships are very well made and heartbreaking sometimes. I'm really enjoying watching this drama, but I think that no many people have already watched and it's a little bit underrated, I can't understand why !!
Maybe it's just me...but I didn't really understand the ending...with the little kids and then seeing them as…
Arang and the magistrate were reincarnated into those two little kids (the boy is the son of the shaman) and then they grow up after many years to continue their beautiful love story
im so confuse about this movie maybe it was cuz the eng subs where horrible but was he a real ghost or not cuz…
no he was not a ghost, as being protected by sohi, kibum can pass thru the? mirror and the truck. remember sohi's line to jin "ive been waiting for you.. please help the people i love.." sohi has been protecting kibum until one person can replace her to kibum's heart. and she beg the shaman to just wait for a minute before she disappear, coz she was waiting for jin to come and save kibum.. to bring him back to life.
