Yeah, that made me really optimistic about the show. Practical effects often have a better look than pure CGI when it comes to movements and physics. Also feels like a throwback to the earlier days of martial arts films.

GJM’s works have a pretty unique flavour and he was originally a movie director so to get a similar feel, the best bet is to look at his other stuff. Li Mu Ge is another director with a sense of strong aesthetics and world building. There’s also Lin Yufen but she’s not into beauty as much.

Can’t wait🙏. Not only excited to see the final presentation because of such a good looking cast but the fact that they did actual wirework for some scenes such as the coffin carrying makes me super excited to see the end result.
