I have read the comments, and I know this is a tragic story, but I just finished Chen Xing Xu's Fall in Love,…
Itās worth a watch. It balances politics and romance well. It is sad but the lead character performances are quite 3 dimensional and itās a fascinating exploration of how character flaws lead to tragedy.

I feel itās going to have a different vibe but thatās not necessarily a bad thing. I feel like Cangcang is a little stronger, more volatile, and possibly more proactive which makes more sense for her personality. Xiao Huan feels a bit more ruthless as an emperor which also makes sense. The relationship also feels like itās going to focus on conflict but I donāt think thatās bad. These two feel like a true double strong pairing. Both have quite domineering auras so the conflict feels like there will be a lot of tension. Tension is exciting. And if thereās lots of conflict and tension between them, the good times usually feel more precious or sweeter.

Yeah, the plot with the arrow is really touching. I feel like it broke the stalemate between them and made both realise the depth of their feelings for each other and what they could have lost. I donāt think there will be many scenes with their children though. I think Cangcang only has one in the drama.
i didn't understood 2nd point ..... can u explain for me ?
Towards the end of the 2nd arc of the book, Cangcang and Xiao Huan reunite after a long separation and during it she reintroduces herself to Xiao Huan almost as a way to start over from all the things that happened in the past and itās one of my favourite scenes because I think it just so sweet and optimistic.
Has anyone read the book? Are there any scenes youāre hoping they recreate in the drama? There are two Iād like to see: 1. The scene where Cangcang gets shot by an arrow and Xiao Huan goes to save her 2. When Cangcang and Xiao Huan reunite under the hydrangeas and she reintroduces herself
same here.even though i miss ren jialun's acting and i'm curious about peng xiaoran's acting but i'm sick with…
I know what you mean. The opening of RoaTF seemed to deter a lot of people. The scene with Nie Sangyu on the cliff was so well acted but the bouncing camera movements scared a lot of people awayšāāļø.
In Unshakable Faith, the main plot has basically 0 romance but I think it works for the show because the leads donāt seem like very romantic people. Personally, I think Pang Hongmei is allergic to romance š My favourite pairing in the show was Pang Hongmei and the captain although I liked the main pairing too and thought the ending was really sweet. The captain is played by, Li Xinze, the same man who played the emperor in the first clip I posted.
the ost ālove catastropheā is one of the hauntingly OSTs ever exist thanks to this drama. itās my heartbreak…
Whatās interesting about this song is that it wasnāt a song specifically written for the show. It already existed and on fanās recommendations of the song, the show purchased it.
August/September would be ideal but thereās a lot of dramas vying for airtime. Iāve seen a lot of melons saying that the summer vacation slot is really popular.
They did this type of thing with there other dramas to but they didn't totally ignore them they are giving time…
Promo materials normally depend on the production company, not the platform. LaC hasnāt released much. I think they may be waiting for the broadcast. Stills and posters usually depend on reaching milestones. The OST is not usually released until very close to the broadcast time.

From the FLās name, I think weāre talking about the same book. I think based on her own looks and acting skills, she could definitely play the character but Iād be worried about the level of the script, direction, and production. I think if she continues to act in costume dramas, they need to be closer to serious costume dramas rather than pure idols. They should be like Goodbye My Princess and blur the boundaries between the two genres and have the complexity to showcase her talent. But the current ancient idol environment seems to really be struggling in this regard imo. At the very least she needs a capable styling/costume design team and a director that can really capture the power of her eyes and richness of her expression.
I am gunning for her to play Shen Miao. I think she would be perfect as Shen Miao as the novel often describes…
From the Poison Queen? She used to be recommended a lot. Based on that description, I can see why-her eyes are so beautiful and can really talk. I think that will probably be given to an actress born in the 2000s though.
She looks so gorgeous in the photo. š„° why did the studio hide this set until now? š
I always feel when things go completely silent like this, itās because sheās not well. Sheās been ill quite a few times in the last few years so I hope if she is or was sick that she is feeling better now.

For RoaTF, a lot of the scenes with good chemistry are in the tidbits. Theyāre strangely not in the actual show. It also feels like the scenes with good chemistry were shot differently from the rest of the show. I donāt know who directed them, whether it was the lead director or an assistant director, but some scenes have completely different visuals, atmosphere, and acting. That said, Iām not a good judge for RoaTFās chemistry because Iām a fan of the original novel and Jiman doesnāt really seem to like Ning Yuxuan until the end. In fact, I donāt care about the romance at allšThe change in the drama to mostly romance with Jiman in love first was actually weird because a lot of people seem to like the book because of Jiman scheming and fighting to survive, not because of the main coupleās relationship. Ning Yuxuan is also big scumbag in the book so itās actually refreshing to see a FL not fall for the ML until he becomes a better person.
The costumes for the female characters are outrageous. I canāt believe the costume designer for the show is a pretty famous one in the industry. Iād be ashamed to release that quality of work. Xiao Ran was also really thin when she shot RoaTF (probably because she got criticised for being fat when she shot Jun Jiu Ling with the same director). I would argue she was too thin but she shot to Our Dreamland of Ice right after RoaTF and is absolutely beautiful and can pass for 18 year old, which the same age as Jimanļ¼
Unshakable Faith might take getting use to. Itās really different to an idol drama. It has chemistry but it doesnāt have any romantic plot lines between the main leads. Any romance will be really really subtle and itās not the standard strong man/weak woman combo seen in most romances. Itās a strong woman/weak male combo.

It is gorgeous. Itāll be worth the wait if itās as beautiful as the mermaid set.š„¹ I hope she can ignore fans though and just go back to posting what she wants rather than trying to follow the mercurial tastes of the criticising fans. Doting fans wonāt care. We will be happy as long as she postsš

Unshakable Faith is really fun. So much of the show is trying to figure out who is a spyš Itās also good if you like strong female characters. Pang Hongmei is absolutely no nonsense.
The plot is simple in RoaTF and thereās some bits that could be better but I think itās a really good easy watch and I like the messaging of mutual achievement, love not being the end all of things and that relationships take work. Thereās mixed views on the chemistry but I think itās okay. The editor seemed to have cut out most of the more chemistry filled scenes so itās not very passionate but it can be sweet.

Thereās this cameo appearance if youāre curious about Peng Xiao Ranās acting. It was filmed right before shooting Love and Crown so should be a good indication of her level at the time: https://m.weibo.cn/detail/5078251756066230
Thereās also Goodbye My Princess. It might be worth a watch while waiting for this show. Itās the closest in tone to Love and Crown mostly because itās also a non-fairytale ancient idol drama.
Honestly, the wrap-up video was good enough; you can start there.
This. Depending on what they want to show, thereās actually a lot of official content. Iāve got at least 3 or 4 sources for the edit I was going to do and I got it all off the official site.
