I don’t care what state this show is in, I’ve been waiting for Peng Xiao Ran to play a villain for so long…
I think this show’s saving grace might be the acting. There’s quite a few strong artists in this show and while the plot is often important, good acting and chemistry/synergy can also support a show when plot is lacking. And actually the plot will be dependent not only the original script and director but on the skill and expertise of the editor.
I don’t care what state this show is in, I’ve been waiting for Peng Xiao Ran to play a villain for so long and now my baby Jialan has arrived!!! So cute even though she’s probably bad(But I love bad girls the most so this is just paradise for me right now🥹).
Anyway, positive vibes.🤞I’m looking forward to Feng Miaojun and her adventures. There are enough faces I like . The actors can act. The filming looks okay. And, I heard good things about the plot.
Lol, I'm laughing out of frustration right now 😂😂. Other dramas are officially releasing trailers. But TBMM…
Huamei was a spy catching drama that aired in 2023. Xiao Ran plays a police officer. Its marketing was non-existent. The trailer came out like a week before the show broadcast. BUT, it did well considering. In fact it’s basically never stopped airing and has circulated through many different tv channels.

I can understand wanting the best but negative vibes don’t bring customers either😂 Anyway no poster can be worse than Huamei and that show tore up the TV ratings. Even some big name stars couldn’t beat its numbers for over a year.

Positive vibes. Some of those dramas are new and some have released only posters in the past too. And there’s multiple promotional events throughout the year. This isn’t the only one.
It feels like it’s getting a bit of the RoaTF treatment😩 but I really want to see her. I think out of all the upcoming heroines Xiao Ran is playing, I like Ling Cangcang’s personality the best.
Seems so. Tbh, I didn’t really think they were going to hold one anyway. The planning didn’t make sense. Resurrection matches usually occur towards the end of a competition, not the middle. It just seemed to be another hype tool.
A lot of fans are asking her not to go. I’ll support whatever she decides but I feel it’s not wise to go unless…
🤝 As fans that’s all we can do. If we look on the bright side, even if it abused fans to near death😭, she gained quite a bit of fans considering her airtime, revitalised her image as a beauty, and brought some spotlight back to herself, so it’s not a complete loss to do the first round. If she does go, I hope she can reap better benefit from it- at the very least, that she can have fun.
Xiao Feng isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and not everyone likes heroines of her type (and that’s okay because…
No worries. No offence taken. Some people do see her as a “troublemaker” but I think that’s part of her charm-that she doesn’t become an entirely obedient wife. Most of the trouble is for Li Chengyin who isn’t a great husband 😂 and most of the show’s obedient wives don’t have a good life/end😭. She accepts the marriage after the talk with the Queen Dowager even though she doesn’t want to because of her responsibility to Xizhou, and this brings peace to the region. As for the cluelessness, I guess it depends on perspective. She’s only 16 when she enters the palace (younger than LCY and Sese), isn’t familiar with its structure or culture, and Li Chengyin keeps intercepting so she doesn’t really get a chance to palace fight properly but I think she has her moments and I think her style would never be the attacking kind, especially to other women. I also read somewhere that the show also apparently cut a scene from the script where she does explicitly state she needs to think about the palace environment more. Anyway, I hope you can enjoy the rest of the show (although it’s perfectly fine if you don’t. This show has a kinda love it or hate it reputation anyway 😂). Thank you for the convo. ☺️
