The promotion team is so lazy, and even the Chinese page of this drama is poorly organized; how will they gain…
PXR was in FoF and Melody of a Golden Age as well as The Legend. They were guest appearances though.

It is possible to make this place warm even with just two or three people. Even if no one else is here, I will…
I tried to post but they didn’t seem popular so I stopped😂

New materials normally come out on a set schedule-usually certain special days, birthdays, or promotional events.…
I guess it makes more sense for production companies to mostly focus on the domestic audience because most of the money comes from the domestic audience. Most countries are generally like this. It’s just weird that some dramas have international reservations and some don’t. Unless opening reservations is a production company decision🤔

I’ve never understood why they don’t release the reservations for everyone. I think it’s a missed opportunity that ignores an entire audience. For a previous drama, I remember having to beg a platform to reserve.

Ah, please give us new materials😭😭. I am eagerly awaiting this drama. A drama with two couples, who wouldn't…
New materials normally come out on a set schedule-usually certain special days, birthdays, or promotional events. The only thing that might get us more promotional content outside of the schedule is if reservations start hitting milestones.

Person Peng Xiao Ran
Her face can really carry any style. 😍 btw, do you know how long is the filming for this variety show?
I think it depends on if she wins enough votes to stay on the show.

But I read some where that this novel have 2 endings? Or they rewrite it or something is this true ?
Yeah, I really can’t stand it. All this scheming energy could be used to make good dramas but alas…🙂‍↕️

I’d argue it’s a gambling mentality that is looking for shortcuts to popularity or discussion. Tragic endings tend to have more lasting power in the audience’s mind and have greater chances of becoming classics. GBMP aired six years ago and there are still people who celebrate its anniversary or mourn Xiao Feng as if she was real. So, a lot of shows force these endings even if they’re not necessary because they think it will improve their stats.

I agree. A sad ending has to be properly written. Both those examples really made sense, which is why they’re famous. Unfortunately production companies don’t seem to understand this and just think tragic endings have a greater chance of popularity so right now BE or OE endings are all the rage in Cdrama. I can’t stand it 😭

Tbh, although I understood it, I didn’t like it. I’m not too keen on otherwise healthy and full of spirit FLs being written to death because of love. I felt it contradicted what made their early personalities so charming. I think it was enough that Xiao Huan, who loved Cangcang so much, lived for longer than he promised. A perfect ending to me would have Cangcang dying of old age under the begonia tree where she re-introduced herself and said she’d love Xiao Huan no matter how many restarts or lifetimes. She spent the rest of her life traveling the martial arts world and protecting the kingdom, free like Xiao Huan wanted her to be, and visits the tree every year on Xiao Huan’s birthday until she passes. But I guess Cangcang has her own ideas and one of them is to boldly go after what she wants (Xiao Huan) no matter what. So, her death is logical and suits the purpose of a kind of freedom from palace life that trapped her.

Illness. Xiao Huan actually lives longer than he promised if I remember correctly. Cangcang burns herself to death with his body.

They have 5 kids and then die together when they’re middle aged.

Do you know how to make reservations for international fans? I feel it would be helpful if someone can teach us…
Might have to email IQIYI. I think we had to email Tencent for RoaTF.

I don’t get why Phoenix Stage couldn’t be kept. It stands out more.
I thought the parents’ back story could be cut out entirely. I also thought the martial arts bits could go too. It really works 100% on just the palace setting. The bit in the Western Regions is all the excitement the book needs. I think the author thought the relationship couldn’t grow in the palace and also wanted to create a “deeper” story with backstory but the tangent they took didn’t make sense.

BTW, have you seen Xiao Ran’s Sisters Who Make Waves looks? They’re so pretty!

Gurlllll, the novel’s plot was a struggle…🙂‍↕️I feel like this is a story that readers stay for the characters. Maybe it’s my fan filter but I really liked Cangcang cause she’s so imperfect personality wise. She has a temper, she’s hot headed, she’s stubborn- all the characteristics I like🥹And Ling Cangcang is so fierce in the beginning , it’s hard not like a woman who’s proactive. She really doesn’t sit around. What she wants, she goes after. And when she understands her responsibilities, she lives up to them. Cangcang may not always be a good romantic partner but she is a decent queen once she matures. To me she’s never useless.
And, another good thing is that Xiao Huan doesn’t want to change who she fundamentally is. He accepts Cangcang and her quirks because he understands on some level he’s taking this wild and free personality and forcing her into a cage. It’s such an interesting dynamic. They’re not perfect but they do try to work on themselves despite being completely opposite personalities because they really love each other and don’t want to hurt each other. I really hope they don’t change these aspects too much. In a world that scolds FLs to death for not being perfect “daughters-in-laws”, I really liked the underlying theme that Cangcang didn’t have to be perfect to deserve love and could even ask for the type of love she needed. That she could make mistakes and be hurtful sometimes but there was growth on her part and ultimately I felt their relationship was novel, strangely human, and touching by the book’s end.
