i read the book and the book was mid, i hope the screenwriter did a great job
Really? That’s a shame. I haven’t read the book but I heard the opposite opinion about it and that people are worried the screenwriter won’t be able to capture the novel parts of the story. That’s kinda why I was curious.I guess I’ll have to go read it to get an opinion on it.
Seems like the story has changed a lot from the original. I’ve heard of some changes in regards to the main couple and FMJ’s big reveal but I kinda wonder what else has been changed and what will be the final result.
I think the one eyed tear effect is GJM specifically shooting them that way. Being able to cry well is thought…
It happens in other Cdramas but the frequency isn’t as high as with FoF. If you watch more GJM works you’ll find his work is very idiosyncratic and he has his own way of doing things.
Oh Jesus, this one hit me harder! I wasn't expecting like that even though I know it was tragic I didn't mind…
FoF has some good BE aesthetics. Because it’s what I came for, one of the things I admired about the show was how sad I felt after watching since I literally haven’t felt that sad since GBMP. I couldn’t even sleep that night😂
I'm currently still watching FoF, and I have something I am seriously curious about-- if anyone can provide clarifications,…
I think the one eyed tear effect is GJM specifically shooting them that way. Being able to cry well is thought of as a basic skill in Cdramas and there was one famous producer who used it as a casting requirement. I feel like GJM might have used this as his criteria too. Miss Qi’s actress is famous for the beauty of her crying scenes and some of her roles have compilation videos of her just crying. I’ve seen her BTS in other shows and she can also cry on demand.
Director: Huang Jun Wen, Li Guo Yuan, Zhao XiaScreenwriter: Li Min, Chen Yi Yi (陈一一), Zhang Er Jiu (张二九)When…
Multiple directors are not unusual and neither are multiple screenwriters. There are martial arts directors for example. There’s usually a head director and then assistant/directors with specialised skills. It’s also super normal to have a screenwriting team for TV shows. A solo screenwriter is usually a movie thing.
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
It’s a light romantic comedy with a focus on the characters over the plot. However, even though the plot is simple, the story flows from A to B pretty well. The viewer just needs to be patient as the story unfolds because there’s a lot of (purposeful) confusion at the beginning of the story but it all gets resolved by the end. The romance has a juvenile feel but that’s because the characters are in their late teens/early twenties and it’s a story of them learning how to build a healthy and communicative relationship from a previously toxic and fractious one. So, there’s a subtle theme of growing up and growing closer together. There’s also the theme that “love can’t solve and/or be everything” so there is a focus on their professional life too and the characters will sometimes make decisions that more sober rather than romantic. Last but not least, there’s a recurring theme of female empowerment even though the show deviated from the heroine focused plot. Some people don’t care for the cute or argumentative side of the FL, but the FL is also a woman focussing on her career to earn her own money, keeps a positive and agile thinking style when problems occur, tries to leave a relationship when it’s bad, and helps other women access work where they can support themselves in the way they want.
rewatching few episodes from the drama; i love that this time, i took time to savour the details; hit the pause…
The boat scene at the end is very beautiful too. It’s a call back to Ranyi’s response poem to Miss Qi: “in the vastness of the starry river I hold your hand travelling around the world together.” He looks like a galaxy which is sometimes called a ‘river of stars’, and with his last moments he grasps Miss Qi’s hand as the boat floats off into the (hopefully) wider world. It’s very much like seeing his promise through.
Seems like u still haven't moved on from their story 😂😂.....
Lol, I have moved on but every so often I look-up info on the actress’s old roles because the discussions or fanmade content can be interesting. That’s how I stumbled on this video. I shared it because of its educational value and thought it might be nice to share since the show has such dedicated fans interested in learning more.
Wow! All the micro details! I would’ve never noticed if not for the vid. ❤️ They should do this to all FoF…
(Poor) Huang Wei is a menace but (Rich) Huang Wei is not😂 When she wants, her work can be very intricate and thoughtful. Other costumes from the show have been posted but I only follow news for this unit so only have links for them.
