RJL’s special episode is out. It looks good. Hoping Xiao Ran was filmed well too.

A July finish has been circulating for an awhile. I thought shooting would finish on the same day but I was wrong. How long Xiao Ran takes depends on what’s left to film. In the book there are a few sections without the male lead so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same in the drama. She’s also got promo for her movie role to do too. I just hope she gets to rest before she enters AHZ. She’s had a few bouts of illness in the last year so I really hope she takes care.

It’s possible she might film until July.

Trust me, there’s no media blockade for this drama’s cast. It all has to do with who the proxy shooters can capture. As the previous poster mentioned studio shooting has less leaks and some of the cast hasn’t arrived yet.

I wonder what type of styling they will give Xiao Ran. I wonder if it will be the Princess cut that everyone expects. The hairstylist and makeup artist for this team are well respected so I look forward to the full range of their looks.

I watched the press conference she attended today and she looks amazing even in the raw photos. She’s basically in the state of her host days- when FBB signed her (and this is after she spent all yesterday crying for filming and her eyes and face were swollen for a good chunk of the day).

Showrunners have decided the ranking based on various different factors. For everything else let’s wait to see what airs.

This is usually the case in idol dramas but not always the case in non-idol dramas. In fact, I’ve seen second billing be a rival or relative for some CCTV dramas.
For this show, MYM is second billing due to rank. BBH should be the official match and love interest for the ML. MYM has their own canon love interest as well.
This casting list isn’t ranked completely accurately. I had to request an edit because it originally had MYM’s actress as a guest role. BBH’s actress is a newcomer who starred in Sword and Fairy 1 this year and is either 4th or 5th ranked according to the official announcement. The rankings are based on strength from metrics of past dramas, popularity, and essentially who showrunners believe will bring investment and viewers to the show.
