There's too little information that the preview shows us. Pran saying to his friends, 'Pat and I broke up' and…
Yes, all those you mentioned are exactly what I thought will be plausible scenarios playing in the second season of Bad Buddy.
The focus will of course still be mainly on Pat and Pran, but finally the GL ship (InkPa) and the so called 'ghost ship' WaiKorn (whom I have predicted since the beginning), will have the chance to sail.
It makes more sense rather than making a spin-off based on them. Putting them together with Pat and Pran in second season will reap more benefits not just for GMMTV, but in fact also for all of us.
And again, it does not make sense for them to tease us a lot for InkPa and WaiKorn contents, especially for the latter, and haven't really explored their relationship till the very last episode. So, a second season, or at least a special long episode/movie/a few specials are definitely possible/probably even already secretly in the making.
(Spin-offs are also not usually successful by the way)
There's too little information that the preview shows us. Pran saying to his friends, 'Pat and I broke up' and…
Yes, I am looking forward to see this as one of the possibilities. A proposal is definitely one path they are quite likely to take. And to me, with all that they had gone through to that point, I would say, please... give them a proper, good season 2.
P'Aof, the screenwriters, Ohm and Nanon are all phenomenal. The other actors too, the ones playing Wai (Jimmy), Ink (Milk), Pa (Love), and Korn (Drake) among others. We have to trust that if they are planning a second season, it will break the trend of having usually lousy/very underwhelming/terrible season 2.
There's too little information that the preview shows us. Pran saying to his friends, 'Pat and I broke up' and…
Agreed, this is part of the excitement leading up to the finale. After all, one of the golden rules of Bad Buddy is to keep us suspenseful of how the story will turn out, as it happened many times before, that a major plot twist can happen just anytime, in ways we didn't expect before.
Regarding Taiwanese BL stories, even those stories didn't all end badly. MODC did end that way for one of the couple, and some others didn't have that happy of an ending. Rather, it is mainly Mainland Chinese production that had such ending (but again, same thing, not all, only most.)
I've been holding on that quote for dear life since Friday. They've been working as a team on pretty much everything…
That quote is gold. It's such a beautiful set of words, and when spoken by Pat to Pran, if I were Pran, I won't ever give up my love for Pat, no matter what. The same goes to Pat as well.
Hi all, don't want to sound too hopeful for EP 12, but just want to say that plot wise, and understanding how…
There's too little information that the preview shows us. Pran saying to his friends, 'Pat and I broke up' and Pat saying to his dad, 'We broke up' does not equate them breaking up with each other.
Pran saying to Pat, 'Good luck, Buddy' is also the same. It does not necessarily mean they were no longer boyfriends. It won't fit the song and their story at all. Remember that song, that beautiful song that Pran completed and sang for Pat. They won't break up for real with that, and they themselves know the meaning of the words 'between the lines'
Their relationship has no need for labels. They have been 'Bad Buddies' so far, not bad because they were terrible or not suited for each other, but the many circumstances surrounding them didn't let them to have an easy time managing their relationship. Buddy to them can very well mean their loved ones, their most precious ones. Can't I call my beloved one, 'Buddy?' (Just an example)
If EP 11 shows us at the end how the hypothetical situation if their families weren't enemies, then I won't rule out them showing yet another hypothetical situation when they really broke up with each other (in their minds), but then in truth, they won't.
(Yes, meaning that all of that may be just a fake break-up/a cleverly designed plan to fool their parents and make them accept their relationship/everything's just a dream including that last scene of EP 11 in front of the house, etc...)
(Plus the scene from the reunion from when Pat and Pran looked older (after a few years) may very well were taken from cleverly cut shots of the much happier scenes but taken out of context. What if for example, that was taken from the moment when their parents had accepted them as a couple? Again, there is too little information to guess anything too much at the moment to assume that they had separated for years either)
There are many possibilities going forward, and let's not be boxed in by that short preview ok?
Hi all, don't want to sound too hopeful for EP 12, but just want to say that plot wise, and understanding how Pat and Pran relationship dynamics has developed, having a disappointing and sad ending, while not impossible, is unlikely.
(They won't make us so totally invested into Pat and Pran relationship just to break us all in our hearts into million pieces that way. Don't be easily affected by what people said - I saw one post where the screenwriter was commenting something about EP 12, which to me can easily interpreted both ways. But some of us may look at it and think negatively if we allow these tidbits to mislead us)
For me, I think at the least it will be an open ending, and can be happy or even very happy depending on how EP 12 really goes this Friday. I would try my best to keep my mind clear and calm for Friday (as difficult as it is for me and for most if not all of us here).
Believe me, just as EP 11 roller coaster at the end brought us down back to earth so abruptly from the high of their sweet honeymoon, I don't think EP 12 will bring us down even more. It would be just too tragic that way. Even the original novel, which angst and separation was (to me) much more heartbreaking than the series, ended up with their families matter resolved and the two coming back together, and ended happily (very happily to me given the context of their situation and what they had experienced)
(Just want to say that in the real world, such an ending (sad/disappointing) can very well happen, and it happened to people out there, and some/many of us may have experienced it before too. But, I believe Pat and Pran's love is stronger even than all of their troubles and obstacles.)
Allow me to quote something from the business and military jargon:..what a truly seasoned and experienced warrior…
I mentioned this on Friday night itself. A temporary (and planned) tactical retreat to allow for a great victory later on. And this may also allow for decisive victory that minimise collateral damage.
To engage in a war of attrition does not benefit both sides, as both will be destroyed and wasted in the futile attempt to exhaust each other.
Pat and Pran never gave up on each other, and will never give up their love for one another. That is what I am definitely very sure of. While we are still not sure how EP 12 will be like, but they knew that in the end, there will be a way for their love to be accepted.
Whether they confront it directly and immediately, or whether it takes several years, they know that in the end, if their love remains true (which I am sure it will be), then nothing will stop them. I have faith in them, as I have had for these past eleven episodes.
If they haven't and won't give up on each other, then we must support them too, in whatever decision they took and will take (we'll see the full story in that finale!)
One thing I hope to see from EP 12 (a possibility) is how Pat will fight for his love together with Pran.
In the novel, what he did was amazing, and I hope this time, in the series, if it does go this path, then it will not be just Pat doing it, but both of them together.
‘You never leave me. You are fighting together alongside me.’
If you look at my post below, I just realised that Pat began to be jealous of Wai all the way back to right after the first rooftop scene. He didn't stop his friends bullying Wai there and as you can see, he was definitely conflicted (EP 2 Part 3/4 from around 3:00 to 4:30).
Now, on a hindsight, it shows that Pat was rediscovering the feelings he had for Pran, and he couldn't understand that feelings that came out in his heart. He knew that Wai is Pran's close friend, which from EP 1 he could well understand, as it was hard for him to get Pran to agree to his plan to apologise to him earlier on. That sprang out the first hints of jealousy, and hints to us, that he actually liked Pran, from back then, and even in fact, from the high school time, without fully realising it.
It is important to rewatch properly (rather than just bits and parts) after we know much more of the story (like now, since we are almost at the finale), so that we can pick up hints and other subtle things that we may not have realised earlier, since we didn't know much yet back then.
We saw the morning routine of Pat and Pran, with Pran's usual perfectionist and OCD tendencies shown in the minute by minute precision of each action, while Pat was clumsy as usual. As we now know how it later turned out in EP 8 morning scene, it is significant that while Pat woke up much later than Pran in EP 2, in EP 8, when Pran woke up, Pat was already up and was cooking for Pran (in a nice reversal of character). This shows just how much Pat went to try to change himself for Pran, to try to care for him, to understand him.
Then, we saw how both of them tried their best to stay out of conflict and kept their respective friends from each other. Not only that because they didn't want any trouble with the college (the professor already warned them), but in their hearts, they didn't want to hurt each other anymore.
We also have the first glimpse of how Pat and Pran are fortunate to live in a society where homosexuality is more acceptable (Pran's friend Mo said what if it's a guy who was hitting on Pran, and everyone was ok with it. Even Wai was teasing Pran about it as well). Actually I also feel that Thailand is relatively more open-minded regarding this as well, in the present age and time, as compared to many other Asian countries at the moment. So, it is not entirely fictional. We know how later, their families (at least Pran's parents) were cool about it too.
This is followed by their realisation at the rooftop that they lived just opposite each other. It was kind of fate that brought them back together again, by chance living just opposite each other, and which made the food delivery mistake much more plausible. That was also a stroke of luck, which led to them interacting with one another indirectly, and eventually leading to the rooftop for the first time.
Now we know how significant the rooftop is for them, but back then we didn't know it yet. It was actually, on a hindsight, their very first time in three years having their private time together again after they were separated by their parents. The last time they had that, was probably the time when they were composing their 'Just Friend' song and preparing for the Christmas concert (when Pran and Pat wrote in Pran's diary book).
Pran remembered Wai's words at the rooftop, 'If you don't like him, end it right there.' He was hesitating, showing that he indeed still treasure that feeling he had for Pat. Then, from the way Pat's eyes shone as he was talking with Pran there, showed us that he felt that happiness in his heart again that he had not felt for the past three 'distressingly lonely' years. It showed that while Pat has close friends (his Engineering buddies), but Pran was special to him.
Then, to the bar scene where Pat and his friends are having drinks (from Pat's clothes, it's obvious that it's immediately after the rooftop), it was in fact, the first sign of Pat showing jealousy at Wai. Remember earlier on that Pat tried hard to keep his friends away from Pran and his friends? But back at the bar, he didn't even try to stop them at all.
From the way he acts, it was obvious that he was encountering the emotions that he had not felt before, and he didn't do anything to stop his friends bullying Wai, because he began to be jealous of Wai from then (Look at EP 2 part 3/4 between 3:00 to 4:30. You'll know what I mean)
(Additional note: It was at the food delivery scene that Pran first hinted at the new song ('Our Song') as he was humming it)
The focus will of course still be mainly on Pat and Pran, but finally the GL ship (InkPa) and the so called 'ghost ship' WaiKorn (whom I have predicted since the beginning), will have the chance to sail.

Otherwise, even Korn and In in UWMA has some sort of happy closure to their story. Bittersweet, yes, but it was happy feel in the end.

Hi all, you can vote in this Komchadluek Awards. OhmNanon is in one of the category (top pairs) while Bad Buddy is in another (top series of 2021).
(But it may require Thai phone number for the website), alternatively you can vote in their Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/KomChadLuekAward/photos/a.606727382732100/6925848700819905/?type=3

I can't believe why in the website OhmNanon is only #4 among the top pairs at the moment, and Bad Buddy is way behind IPYTM at the moment as #2.
Will compile all of them maybe in the Discussion / put all the links in one comment for easy access.

4.5 more days to go!

And I know that word 'buddy' does not mean the way we often think it means.
