For those who missed my Pat and Pran POV earlier today (contains spoilers of EP 10 Part 4/4) and convenience without having to scroll through hundreds of comments.
I just want to point out that, in case anyone hasn’t noticed yet or are wondering why Pat and Pran are in the same elementary and high school when their families can’t stand each other, it’s because of exactly that unresolved matter between Pat’s dad and Pran’s mum (the scholarship stealing, which is the core and catalyst for further tensions later on).
How do I put it? Both parents wanted Pat and Pran to purposely compete with each other from the very beginning (you need to watch from EP 1 to fully understand, don’t skip any episodes). Pat’s dad’s reasons was more because of generational trauma carried over from his father (Pat’s grandpa), while Pran’s mum was more because of her experience of being betrayed. Pran was taught to not trust people easily and to excel in order to show Pat’s dad and family what a bastard they are.
(So, Pat and Pran were purposefully set up to compete and hate each other, to be close but always at arm’s length of them having to hate each other.)
And in case you are not aware, both sets of parents are fully aware of the situation. At least Pat’s mum knows what happened. But what is sad is that, they chose to keep it from their sons, and lied to them no less, making them compete with each other. But when unexpectedly, Pran ended up liking Pat instead, Pran’s mum couldn’t accept this (especially because of her unresolved betrayal by Pat’s dad) and pulled Pran out from that high school.
If you read the above, you’ll understand better just how painful the experiences were for both Pat and Pran. Pat also suffered as much as Pran (EP 5 he mentioned that being distressingly lonely for him. He too has liked Pran since back then). And you’ll understand the emotions they showed at EP 10 rooftop.
Tbh i am one of the very few people who don't want season 2. I literally pray they don't make s2. I love them…

I trust the director P’Aof, Ohm and Nanon. If they have a second season, first, it will still be as excellent as the first season, and it will still be equally awesome if not even better.
We shouldn’t use other series season 2 as benchmark all the time or to discourage a series from having a sequel, even if many of those sequels are horrible.
There are actually series that gets (even) better in the sequel.

And if you haven't watch Bad Buddy yet, I recommend you to start watching it from the first episode, to understand each characters' development and context for actions, and many other things.

EP 10 Part 4/4 - Pran POV Part III (At dorm rooftop) - contains spoilers (Last Part)
(Pran was on the rooftop, devastated over all that just happened)
[Pran’s mind: ‘Why did our parents have to go against me and Pat being together? I can’t take it anymore. Hiding my feelings for Pat all these years, pretending to hate him, and I must have hurt him a lot all these years. Mum slapped me, I don’t know what to think anymore. Pat, you are all that I have left.’]
(Pran proceeded to take out his phone, likely wanting to call Pat and ask him where he was. He felt someone coming to him, and turned, seeing Pat, with obvious sadness and anguish in his eyes, looking at him, at his broken heart. Their broken hearts connect together that very moment. Pran cried, and cried, while tightly hugging Pat)
[Pran’s mind: ‘Pat, you are all that I have left. You are always my sun, one I love with all my heart. I am sorry for having hated you all those years, I regretted it all. I know you love me with all your heart too. I am done running away Pat, I am done hiding everything. I can’t take it anymore. I can’t take it anymore…]
Pran: ‘I can’t take it anymore.’
Pat: ‘Let’s get away from here.’
(Pran, still crying, put himself in Pat’s embrace, placing his head on Pat’s chest for solace)
[Pran’s mind: ‘I can’t believe you tell me to run away, Pat. But I trust you. I will follow you wherever you want to take me. Just let us get out from all these hurt and pain, to a better place.]
EP 10 Part 4/4 - Pat POV Part III (At dorm rooftop) - contains spoilers (Last Part)
(Pat saw Pran on the rooftop, and walked up to him)
[Pat’s mind: ‘I know how terrible I felt knowing the truth behind my family’s feud with Pran’s family. But Pran needs me. I must be strong. I know I barely can hold it all together, but I can’t make Pran more worried and sadder than he must already be. I saw how he looked like at the shopping centre, his expressions, his fears. I am here for him.’]
(Pran turned to face Pat, and they looked at each other)
[Pat’s mind: Pran, I know you must be devastated, I am devastated too. But you still have me, you still have me. We are in this together, Pran. You don’t have to hide again. You have me and you have my love. I love only you, you alone.’]
(Pran cried and hugged Pat tightly. Seeing Pran cry made Pat to shed his tears too. But he tried to hold back as much as possible. He doesn’t want Pran to see him breaking down. That will make Pran even more devastated. He has to be strong for Pran’s sake.)
[Pat’s mind: ‘Pran, be strong, I am here for you. You have me here. I have you too. We must be strong for each other ok? Let’s get away from all these. I am tired from all the lies and all that the adults have done all these while to us. I am sure you are tired of everything too.’]
Pran: ‘I can’t take it anymore.’
Pat: ‘Let’s get away from here.’
(Pran, still crying, put himself in Pat’s embrace, placing his head on Pat’s chest for solace. Pat's tears fall down his cheeks, but he tries his best to be strong, for Pran)
[Pat’s mind: ‘I’ll protect you Pran, I’ll protect our relationship and our love. Now that I have you, I won’t ever let you go again. Our parents might have broken their friendship, but we will make our love work. We’ll prove it to them. Someday, they’ll understand.’]
EP 10 Part 4/4 - Pran POV Part II (At Pran’s home) - contains spoilers
(Pran entered his house warily, seeing his mum waiting for him)
[Pran’s mind: ‘Mum may have found out everything. I heard how Pat was arguing with his dad at home. I hope not. I must try to deny if she asks about my relationship with Pat.’]
Pran’s mum: ‘Pran. What happened between you and the next door?’
Pran: ‘Nothing.’
Pran’s mum: ‘You become close to them, don’t you?’
[Pran’s mind: ‘Mum found out about us. I hope she doesn’t know what kind of relationship we have. I don’t want Pat to be hurt, I have to deny as much as I can. I don’t want to be hurt either. I don’t want to be separated from him again. Those many years being separated from him hurt a lot’]
Pran: ‘You already knew. Why are you even asking?’
Pran’s mum: ‘You’re back to being friends with the kid next door, aren’t you?’
Pran: ‘We’re not friends.’
Pran’s mum: ‘Pran, don’t walk away from me. We must talk things out.’
[Pran’s mind: ‘Mum didn’t believe me, and I don’t think I can talk my way out anymore. I am worried and I am scared to reveal it.’]
(Pran was hesitating for a while before facing his mum - flashes of what happened earlier at the shopping mall came to him, of Pat declaring before his parents that they are boyfriends)
[Pran’s mind: ‘Pat dared to say all that, I know he was scared too. He tried to lie his way out for our sake. But he dared to say the truth. Am I going to continue denying my love for him? I am scared of mum and what she can do to separate us, but shall I deny my love for Pat? I don’t think I’ll do this anymore. I am tired of hiding, I can’t take it anymore.’]
Pran: ‘We are boyfriends.’
Pran’s mum: ‘Pran! How did it happen?’
Pran: ‘Why mum? Everyone wants the truth, now that you all know, why can’t you take it?’
[Pran’s mind: ‘Mum, all those years you forcefully separated me from Pat, it’s all because you were not truthful to me, you hide your relationship with Pat’s dad. If you hate him so much for breaking up with you, why did you push all the hatred to me, and to Pat? Do you know how hurt I was for all that?’]
. . .
Pran: ‘You two used to date and you ended it. Is it even my job to be responsible for your feelings?’
Pran’s mum: Pran, what are you talking about? Where did you hear all that from?’
Pran: ‘At least, I spoke the truth. Unlike you.’
Pran’s mum: ‘Pran, I didn’t raise you to talk to me like this!’
[Pran’s mind: ‘I am done running away mum, I am done hiding it all. You made me all hurt and ruined my whole childhood and high school hating Pat and his family, to compete with him in everything, making me close everything up to myself, make me to lose my friends, and most importantly almost losing Pat forever, because you refused to face the truth.’]
Pran: ‘Because you raised me this way, that’s why I’m not like the other kids.’
(Pran’s mum slapped Pran, but showed that she immediately regretted doing it)
[Pran’s mind: Goes blank, in disbelief over what just happened. He felt that slap on his cheek, crushing his heart within. All that he had repressed inside went out, and are drowning him. His mind tells him to go away, to run away to somewhere, not his house, somewhere, out there.]
EP 10 Part 4/4 - Pat POV Part II (At Pat’s home) - contains spoilers
(Pat confronted his dad about the truth between him and Pran’s mum)
Pat: ‘He (Dad) should be the one to say sorry to me! I know all about the lies you told us.’
[Pat’s mind: ‘How could you lie to me like this, dad? You told me before you were so disappointed that I lied to you about my rugby practice. And now? Having found out that you lied to me all these while, about Pran and his family? How do you expect me to react otherwise??’]
. .
Pat: ‘It doesn’t matter who told me this, you can’t take it out on me. She (Pran’s mum) and you (dad) didn’t end up well. But you can’t stop me from seeing Pran.’
[Pat’s mind: ‘Dad, I love Pran with all my heart, and I won’t let you or anyone else to separate us. You can’t use your past mistakes as an excuse! Your failed relationship is your own fault, and you can’t blame it on me, or on Pran!’]

(Afterwards, Pran’s mum came to Pat’s house after learning the truth from Pran and after the slap)
Pran’s mum: ‘Ming (Pat’s dad)! What did you say to Pran?… ‘Why can’t I be here when you dared brainwash my son? If you want to say, how about you say all the evil things you did?’
Pat: ‘What did my dad do?’
Pran’s mum: ‘Your dad stole my scholarship. He’s the reason why I didn’t go to university.’
(Pat looked shock and turned to look at his dad)
[Pat’s mind: ‘Pa, is that true? How could you do that? I thought you were dating her. But this? How can you ruin someone else’s life that way?’]
. .
Pat’s dad: ‘You’re not the only person who wants to make his dad proud.’
Pran’s mum: ‘Are you so proud to ruin someone’s life?’
(Pran’s mum continued to argue saying how what Pat’s dad can’t be compensated by what he did later. He ruined her entire future, her aspirations and prospects.)
[Pat’s mind: ‘So, dad, all that you wanted me to do all these while… comparing my GPA to Pran, besting him in whatever he did, excelling over him in sports, all that, just because you want to keep your ego? That you want me to ruin Pran’s life just to make you proud, like how you did all that to Pran’s mum to make grandpa proud??’]
(Pat began to break up all inside)
Pran’s mum: ‘Do you know what hurt me the most? You took on the business after your father. If you only want to take the family business, why did you have to take my scholarship?’
[Pat’s mind: ‘All that, all those years I spent competing, fighting and cannot be friends with Pran. All that because you just want to show how good you are to grandpa? Dad, why did you have to make us (Pat and Pran) both suffer like this because of you?’]
(Pat’s heart shattering and breaking more with each revelation)

Pat: ‘Pa, I had to hate Pran, to compete against him, because of you?’
[Pat’s mind: ‘All those years, wasted on pretending to hate the one I truly loved, to pretend to be enemies and be separated from him, all just because you (dad) have no courage to admit your fault? Because you can’t tell us the truth about yourself and what wicked thing you did to Pran’s mum? Do you know how hurt I am knowing that I made Pran’s life miserable? He had to endure it all because of me and because of you, all these years.’]
EP 10 Part 4/4 - Pran POV Part I (Shopping Centre) - contains spoilers
(Pat’s dad shouted at Pat and Pran, as he caught them getting really close and happy with each other)
Pat’s dad: ‘Pat! What's going on between the two of you?'
[Pran’s mind: Regret teasing Pat just seconds earlier about his dad being there. ‘What will happen to us now? I am worried, I worry my mum will also know about us.’ …Thinking of ways to calm the situation down…]
Pat: ‘We’re friends… I am not lying Papa, we’re just playing around’
Pat’s dad: ‘Do you think I’m so stupid?’ (Pran tried to stop Pat’s dad from hitting Pat, but got pushed down and hit the wall)
Pat: ‘Pa!! You want to know the truth? We are boyfriends!’
[Pran’s mind: ‘Pat, why you said that??? I know you want to reveal our relationship to everyone. Actually I want it too. But I am afraid. Afraid of your dad’s reaction. And even more afraid of mum’s reaction. Mum and his dad must have hated each other so much because of what happened during the high school, because they dated each other and broke up. Mum must never know. I must tell Pat to clear things up with his dad.’]

Pat: ‘Are you ok?’
Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad’
Pat: ‘I’m okay, it’s okay.’
[Pran's mind: 'Pat! Don't be stubborn! Please, I love you, but I don't want our parents to separate us if they know everything! I can't live without you...']
Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad. Go!!’
(Pat left and went home, Pran picked up the oranges just like picking the pieces of his heart that just broke at everything that just happened.)
[Pran’s mind: ‘I better go home, and I hope mum won’t know about this. Pat, please clear things with your dad. I am afraid what they’ll do us if they know about us. Sorry I had to shout at you just now. I had no choice.’]

Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad. Go!!’
[Pat’s mind: ‘Dad, you better explain and tell me everything. You owe me an explanation!’]

The 10 episodes of Bad Buddy (those aired so far) have already surpassed Fish Upon the Sky's first 10 episodes (out of 12) as of last week, and should surpass A Tale of Thousand Stars' 10 episodes by this weekend. (Comparing GMMTV's top 2021 BL series)
Comparing to Dark Blue Kiss back in 2019, I would say that Bad Buddy is doing better than DBK as well during their respective airtimes. Hence, just below 2gether the Series, Bad Buddy is likely the 2nd most popular/viewed GMMTV Thai BL series comparing directly their progression during airtime.
(And may also be #2 overall for all Thai BL series during airtime, as I wasn't sure how popular Love By Chance and UWMA were during airing - now LBC has over 300 million views overall. It has 3 more years of viewing time (since latter half of 2018) than Bad Buddy, and SOTUS (which is GMM's) with similar totals has 5 years more.)
(Plus, each of the three mentioned, LBC, UMWA and SOTUS all have more episodes than Bad Buddy. LBC has 14, UWMA has 17 and SOTUS has 15)
And in a world where the pandemic never happened, I would say hypothetically Bad Buddy would have had a real chance to score #1

It depends a lot on the MDL viewers too. It just happens the vast majority of MDL members love mainstream, non-BL drama, especially Korean and/or Chinese ones.

(Pat confronted his dad about the truth between him and Pran’s mum)
Pat: ‘He (Dad) should be the one to say sorry to me! I know all about the lies you told us.’
[Pat’s mind: ‘How could you lie to me like this, dad? You told me before you were so disappointed that I lied to you about my rugby practice. And now? Having found out that you lied to me all these while, about Pran and his family? How do you expect me to react otherwise??’]

Pat: ‘It doesn’t matter who told me this, you can’t take it out on me. She (Pran’s mum) and you (dad) didn’t end up well. But you can’t stop me from seeing Pran.’
[Pat’s mind: ‘Dad, I love Pran with all my heart, and I won’t let you or anyone else to separate us. You can’t use your past mistakes as an excuse! Your failed relationship is your own fault, and you can’t blame it on me, or on Pran!’]

(Afterwards, Pran’s mum came to Pat’s house after learning the truth from Pran and after the slap)
Pran’s mum: ‘Ming (Pat’s dad)! What did you say to Pran?… ‘Why can’t I be here when you dared brainwash my son? If you want to say, how about you say all the evil things you did?’
Pat: ‘What did my dad do?’
Pran’s mum: ‘Your dad stole my scholarship. He’s the reason why I didn’t go to university.’
(Pat looked shock and turned to look at his dad)
[Pat’s mind: ‘Pa, is that true? How could you do that? I thought you were dating her. But this? How can you ruin someone else’s life that way?’]

Pat’s dad: ‘You’re not the only person who wants to make his dad proud.’
Pran’s mum: ‘Are you so proud to ruin someone’s life?’
(Pran’s mum continued to argue saying how what Pat’s dad can’t be compensated by what he did later. He ruined her entire future, her aspirations and prospects.)
[Pat’s mind: ‘So, dad, all that you wanted me to do all these while… comparing my GPA to Pran, besting him in whatever he did, excelling over him in sports, all that, just because you want to keep your ego? That you want me to ruin Pran’s life just to make you proud, like how you did all that to Pran’s mum to make grandpa proud??’]
(Pat began to break up all inside)
Pran’s mum: ‘Do you know what hurt me the most? You took on the business after your father. If you only want to take the family business, why did you have to take my scholarship?’
[Pat’s mind: ‘All that, all those years I spent competing, fighting and cannot be friends with Pran. All that because you just want to show how good you are to grandpa? Dad, why did you have to make us (Pat and Pran) both suffer like this because of you?’]
(Pat’s heart shattering and breaking more with each revelation)

Pat: ‘Pa, I had to hate Pran, to compete against him, because of you?’
[Pat’s mind: ‘All those years, wasted on pretending to hate the one I truly loved, to pretend to be enemies and be separated from him, all just because you (dad) have no courage to admit your fault? Because you can’t tell us the truth about yourself and what wicked thing you did to Pran’s mum? Do you know how hurt I am knowing that I made Pran’s life miserable? He had to endure it all because of me and because of you, all these years.’]
(Pat’s heart broke and is in tears)

(Pat’s dad shouted at Pat and Pran, as he caught them getting really close and happy with each other)
Pat’s dad: ‘Pat! What's going on between the two of you?'
[Pran’s mind: Regret teasing Pat just seconds earlier about his dad being there. ‘What will happen to us now? I am worried, I worry my mum will also know about us.’ …Thinking of ways to calm the situation down…]
Pat: ‘We’re friends… I am not lying Papa, we’re just playing around’
Pat’s dad: ‘Do you think I’m so stupid?’ (Pran tried to stop Pat’s dad from hitting Pat, but got pushed down and hit the wall)
Pat: ‘Pa!! You want to know the truth? We are boyfriends!’
[Pran’s mind: ‘Pat, why you said that??? I know you want to reveal our relationship to everyone. Actually I want it too. But I am afraid. Afraid of your dad’s reaction. And even more afraid of mum’s reaction. Mum and his dad must have hated each other so much because of what happened during the high school, because they dated each other and broke up. Mum must never know. I must tell Pat to clear things up with his dad.’]

Pat: ‘Are you ok?’
Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad’
Pat: ‘I’m okay, it’s okay.’
[Pran's mind: 'Pat! Don't be stubborn! Please, I love you, but I don't want our parents to separate us if they know everything! I can't live without you...']
Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad. Go!!’
(Pat left and went home, Pran picked up the oranges just like picking the pieces of his heart that just broke at everything that just happened.)
[Pran’s mind: ‘I better go home, and I hope mum won’t know about this. Pat, please clear things with your dad. I am afraid what they’ll do us if they know about us. Sorry I had to shout at you just now. I had no choice.’]
(Pat’s dad shouted at Pat and Pran, as he caught them getting really close and happy with each other)
Pat’s dad: ‘Pat! What's going on between the two of you?'
[Pat’s mind: ‘Damn! That’s dad’s voice! Why is he here? This is bad, he can’t find out about us now. Pran will be in danger. I better pretend that we are just playing around.’]
Pat: ‘We’re friends… I am not lying Papa, we’re just playing around’
Pat’s dad: ‘Do you think I’m so stupid?’ (Pran tried to stop Pat’s dad from hitting Pat, but got pushed down and hit the wall)
[Pat’s mind: Saw Pran falling down and hurt himself - lost all control - ‘Dad, how could you hurt my Pran? I’m done hiding it from you! Haven’t you lied to me all these while as well?’]
Pat: ‘Pa!! You want to know the truth? We are boyfriends!’
[Pat’s mind: ‘How can I not say this? When you have literally lied and hid the truth about you and Pran’s mum all these years??’]
(Pat continued to reveal what he knew about the high school years between his dad and Pran’s mum. He hasn’t known the real reason yet. He and Pran thought that they were dating and broke up badly)

Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad’
[Pat’s mind: Pran I know you must be so afraid now. But trust me, everything will be fine. Don’t worry about me. I am okay, and I want you to be okay too. I won’t let our parents to come between us.]
Pat: ‘I’m okay, it’s okay.’
Pran: ‘You should clear things up with your dad. Go!!’
[Pat’s mind: ‘Dad, you better explain and tell me everything. You owe me an explanation!’]
(Pat went home to confront his dad about the truth)

The 10 episodes of Bad Buddy (those aired so far) have already surpassed Fish Upon the Sky's first 10 episodes (out of 12) as of last week, and should surpass A Tale of Thousand Stars' 10 episodes by this weekend. (Comparing GMMTV's top 2021 BL series)
Comparing to Dark Blue Kiss back in 2019, I would say that Bad Buddy is doing better than DBK as well during their respective airtimes. Hence, just below 2gether the Series, Bad Buddy is likely the 2nd most popular/viewed GMMTV Thai BL series comparing directly their progression during airtime.
(And may also be #2 overall for all Thai BL series during airtime, as I wasn't sure how popular Love By Chance and UWMA were during airing - now LBC has over 300 million views overall. It has 3 more years of viewing time (since latter half of 2018) than Bad Buddy, and SOTUS (which is GMM's) with similar totals has 5 years more.)
(Plus, each of the three mentioned, LBC, UMWA and SOTUS all have more episodes than Bad Buddy. LBC has 14, UWMA has 17 and SOTUS has 15)
And in a world where the pandemic never happened, I would say hypothetically Bad Buddy would have had a real chance to score #1
