I really loved him in HCTM. I found the series to be soo cute. Yeah leaving out the heart wrenching rooftop scene…
Yup it was lovely. I enjoyed it very much, although I'd say Bad Buddy is still overall more enjoyable. :D
That heart wrenching rooftop and also the coming out to mum scene in HCTM are just superb. It proves that Ohm is really Nanon's equal in portraying his emotions. Just because he's playing Pat in Bad Buddy who tends to be less emotional in his character does not mean that Ohm is not as good as Nanon in this aspect.
Dear all, if any of you wants to spoil yourself to the very short summary of the root of the problem between the families in the original novel (in case you are curious), feel free to see the post (in reply) under spoilers tag in my post just slightly below regarding He's Coming to Me.
One parallel I noticed in HCTM and Bad Buddy novel - both related to the downfall of many businesses and economies…
(Context: Pat was talking to his mother as he asked for the reason for the feud between the two families. This happened after his engagement to Punch)
(Both companies - Pat's family's and Pran's family's businesses were suffering, and during that same economic crisis, they were in terrible conditions, and Pat's family's business suffered worse, that they had to even file for bankruptcy and put their ancestral house at a stake)
Then the following from Pat's mum's words:
'At that time, knowing that I was pregnant with Pat in my womb, I didn't know whether I should be happy or sad. We never had a full meal since that incident, and then I had Pat to take care of.'
Then Pat's POV: I looked at those eyes. It was a look filled with love and thanks with all my heart.
Pat's mum continued:
'Mom opened the door of the house. At that time, Grandpa's gun was pointed at his temple. Father gave up, but he stood up to fight (face) one more time. Because he knew that Pat was in mother's womb. Dad loves Pat a lot and he did not want us to get involved in any way with that evil house (Pran's) again.'
(In short, Pat's grandpa (probably but likely) committed suicide, and even his dad almost followed suit. All these while hating the other house (Pran's family) due to their misunderstandings. Pat's family thought that they had been undercut, betrayed and more by Pran's family, when in truth they weren't.)
Then back to Pat's POV:
I (Pat) gulped down as I learned of all the secrets that had been hidden for more than twenty years.
(Then the mother mentioned how it was a kind benefactor who helped Pat's dad out of his predicament, and it was planned that Pat should marry this benefactor's daughter, Punch. Pat's mum in a way just tried to guilt-trip Pat to marry Punch by mentioning this story.)
I am finally done binge watching He's Coming to Me. I highly recommend the series. It was very good but underrated…
One parallel I noticed in HCTM and Bad Buddy novel - both related to the downfall of many businesses and economies due to the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997-1998.
In HCTM, Med's uncle orchestrated everything and led to Med's death because he took a huge loan for speculation, that backfired badly during that economic crisis, and Med's uncle almost wanted to shoot himself in the head with a gun when he looked at Med in the family photo.
This was the catalyst that led to his action to take Med's inheritance through the latter's death, which caused such a long unresolved death and wait for Med (which thanks to Thun - played by Ohm, it was wonderfully resolved)
In Bad Buddy novel (Behind the Curtain/Behind the Scene), spoilers for the novel below:
I am finally done binge watching He's Coming to Me. I highly recommend the series. It was very good but underrated and lacking the hype that Bad Buddy has.
Bad Buddy is of course still quite a bit better (won't really compare since different genre anyway), but after watching Ohm's performance there in HCTM, I feel I appreciate him as a person and actor, and his performance in Bad Buddy with Nanon even more!
I don't think BBSS2 will happen. If so, primarily with side couples with maybe a fluff of episode of pat pran. The…
I don't think Ohm and Nanon are any less big in their success as compared to Bright and Win. And compared to Bright and Win, Ohm and Nanon actually has real chemistry to last them much longer either in a sequel of Bad Buddy or a new series with them as main BL leads, as compared to the former.
This is still too early to tell whether a sequel is possible or not. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Currently watching Ohm's acting again in He's Coming to Me. He looks just so handsome there, same as here in Bad…
Those who watch He's Coming to Me rooftop scene in its EP 5 before, you know how powerful that scene was. That crying Thun (played by Ohm) was really very heartbreaking to watch. The same goes for his coming out scene to his mum in EP 6 of He's Coming to Me.
In Bad Buddy, it's not that Ohm can't express himself the same way as Nanon (as people tend to comment that Nanon did very well in expressing his emotions), but rather because that's what his character Pat is like. He would be out of character otherwise.
Nonetheless, you know how Pat at the end of EP 10 was at his breaking point.
This show is almost ranked at 8.9. I'm just guessing this because it is in the top tier of shows with an 8.8 rating…
Watchers is still a mystery to me too. I'm not sure how they calculate it either, since based on the chart they show us, the numbers there do not tally with the watchers displayed.
But the watchers certainly plays a major part just as ratings are. Bad Buddy has great advantage rating wise, but is still severely disadvantaged here (as other BL series does too, esp. Thai ones) in number of watchers.
Otherwise, it could have gotten higher popularity ranking for sure. For overall rank, as you said, it will definitely go up in the coming days, but depending how the last two episodes (I am sure they will give us great ending whatever it may be). I am hoping for at least 9.0 too.
Guys please take things on social media with a healthy amount of sceptism... A lot of things are fake, edits,…
I have seen these posts a few times already, and seriously get tired of the unsubstantiated news/posts.
Spreading falsehoods can hurt BB and the actors, and also those Korean actors as well. Let's not help those irresponsible people spreading the false tweets.
Currently watching Ohm's acting again in He's Coming to Me. He looks just so handsome there, same as here in Bad Buddy too! He did a wonderful job even back then in 2019.
Also rewatching Nanon again in My Dear Loser and The Gifted. Gosh, can't believe the same Nanon delivers us even more amazing performance in Bad Buddy.
That said, nothing beats the chemistry and interactions between Ohm and Nanon (onscreen or offscreen). Both especially Ohm can be paired and shipped with anyone (with great chemistry), but he and Nanon is the best by a mile!

It's quite a bit darker than the series version.

And Jennie may also invite them to watch reaction video for EP 11 too.

The rating may turn 8.9 before this Friday.

Just a suggestion. If you can add spaces and break them up into paragraphs, that will help us to read this more easily :D
