:D everyone has their own favourite series, and it's inevitable that some may get defensive if they find another series more popular/better rated than their favourite ones.

This is one of my all-time favourite song. When I was listening to it today, and remembering how Lion King 2 story went, it somehow reminded me that the story is just exactly like Bad Buddy. Lion King 2 was inspired by Romeo and Juliet story just as Bad Buddy is.
Kiara and Kovu, the daughter of Simba and the son of Zira (the wife of Simba's rival and uncle, Scar) were taught to hate each other from the very beginning, from when they were born. The lion pride had been divided into two due to what happened between Simba and his uncle, and the division lasted for many years. Zira in particular held a great hatred for Simba for having killed Scar and taken over his kingdom - which Scar himself took over by force and scheme from Simba's father, Mufasa.
(Zira is a little bit similar to Pran's mum - in my opinion, while Simba = Pat's dad)
They met once when they were very young, but their parents separated them. In the end, Kiara and Kovu ended up loving each other, despite the opposition from their parents and respective prides.
(Isn't it reminiscent of Bad Buddy? Of course it isn't really the same but I can see a lot of parallel between the two stories)
This song was sung by them after Kovu was cast out from the pride after Simba thought that he was part of Zira's plot against him. Kiara got angry with Simba, ran away from the pride and chased after Kovu, trying to find him. She found him as she sung this, and they sing this song together (cue - EP 10 rooftop scene)
In the end of the same OST video you'll hear them saying:
Kovu: 'Let's get out of here, we'll start a new pride together'. Kiara: 'We have to go back.' Kovu: 'You are kidding, we are finally together!' Kiara: 'Our place is with our pride. If we run away, they'll be divided forever.'
(Pat said in EP 11 preview, 'Sooner or later we have to go back')
And in the end, they managed to bring the two lion prides back together, and got married in the end, with everyone's blessings and acceptance (except for Kovu's mother, who died). Happy ending!
So, to me, Bad Buddy's not just a Romeo and Juliet story. It took inspiration from Lion King 2 too!
Not sure if anyone shared this earlier on. Bad Buddy Series won the “International (Thai) BL Series of the Year” award in the 12th TV Series Craze Awards 2021.
Nanon won the Favourite International Artist, while Ohm and Nanon won the Phenomenal International BL Couple.
I am sure it will earn more awards in time to come. Ohm and Nanon too! And I hope they'll get the more prestigious awards too. Personally, I didn't hear of this TV Series Craze Awards before.
