Another post says he's been dropped from Ting Feng Ling.
If it's a project he signed up for, and then it was changed from a single male lead to two co-leads, he might be happy it has been canceled (but not the reason it was canceled).
From what I've read, this latest lie is already falling apart. Someone would have to go to the police and file a charge. That's unlikely to happen.
"Some allegations are said to refer to the period 2021 and 2023, which may have passed the period of enforcement under the Public Security Administration Act."
I enjoyed this drama and will rewatch parts of it again.
That said, there was an overabundance of Mei Si-Snake Lord scenes. It felt like they overshadowed what was supposed to be the main couple. Throw in the Black Snake and they basically took over the drama.
The final episodes handwaved the most important parts of the supposed main plot, beginning with Mei Zhuyu and Wu Zhen's visit to Changxi Palace.
The "proof" that was posted was a money transfer of roughly $840 and a video of two people playing cards (I don't think faces are visible).

Even the public isn't buying it.

Edit: It seems someone did file a report. Who could it be?

They did stick the landing.
My guess is some scenes were cut that could have provided clarity to Mei Zhuyu's survival.
