She's already successful and it's so clear that she does these for him and doing it for their work is just a pretense to hide her concerns for him. Did you see the moments she posted when Yuyi lost its main investor? it was a poem that meant something like there are many ways to solve the problem when difficulty arises and "learning and growing together". She did that for him as she was waiting for him to see it and every time he's in a problem, she's so restless and pulls all her strings to help him.

She didn't want him to stay anyway, she loves him but isn't sure of their relationship. She admitted that he is special to her (her exact words to Yicheng) but felt that the future was uncertain. It's almost ep 20 so i don't believe we'll have a big breakup arc or something, it might be a small problem but the leads will face it together.

I get where you are coming from in terms of Only for Love but the case in that drama was so different. Shi Yan and Shu Yi had no history and no proper communication. Shu Yi approached Shi Yan for a different reason and missed the timing to tell him the truth, Shi Yan shut her off completely and Shu Yi blew up the few chances Shi Yan gave her to talk to him and come clean. Shi Yan didn't even know if Shu Yi ever loved him or was true to him. Whereas here, Yicheng and Lin Xi have a history together, they still care about each other which they're both aware of. Yicheng has no misunderstandings about Lin Xi's love for him. He knows that she cares for him deeply and is willing to give her the time to sort out her thoughts. Despite whatever reason she chose to breakup with him, he believes that they should start over again. Lin Xi loves him and cares about him which is evident by her actions and her dream where Yicheng kissed her.

I assumed that years ago she was immature and thought it would its for the best if she abruptly broke up and go no-contact so he would move on and go abroad but I feel like she didn't tell him the reason for breaking up after the met again thinking he might try to rekindle their relationship and wouldn't move on again. She might also be just afraid or cautious to open up.

She really cares about him and loves him, given the flashbacks, her efforts to Mr. Sun invest in Yuyi, her hand in publishing an article for Yuyi with her connections during the scandal, and all that. We can see that Yicheng really loves her too, I think at this point he just wants to start over with her despite whatever reason she chose to break up with him. Let's see how the drama unfolds.

So many medical professionals overlook a woman's concerns saying she's exaggerating it. You can google this up. No one has the time to whine and exaggerate every single month of the year. you can't faint or puke because of exaggeration. since you don't know any women who experience painful periods, don't undermine the concerns of women who actually do

Many women suffer from extreme pain, exhaustion, and cramps during periods. It's not always a random fake portrayal. 2 months ago, I forgot to take my painkillers during periods and was found lying down on the bathroom floor after fainting from pain and exhaustion. I'm not kidding. It really affects my daily activities if I get periods during a very stressful time.

That part definitely rubbed me in the wrong way considering many Chinese people have an accent while speaking English too. Be aware that this drama has a lot of propaganda sentiments hidden or outrightly shown. This part was one of them due to cold Indo-Chinese relations and there are other parts too where they keep insisting on the Chinese Glory and how China is leading in technology and some adversity to foreign products. I had to skip and forget about these scenes to continue the drama like many other chinese dramas where sexist, colorist, xenophobic, dress and body shaming comments where made 😣

Some people love someone first one-sidedly and then move on after rejection to fall in love with someone else who will turn out to be the love of their life. This doesn't make their partner a second choice. They just didn't meet earlier in favorable circumstances or time.

yes, wei tian with tong xin could be a good cp but they say opposite attracts, tong xin is serious and manages peter alone, cheng yao with a good character development (later on in the show) could be the playful happiness she needs back in her life. wei tian and tong xin are too similar in personalities and temperaments to be a couple

I believe he's gonna have a good character development based on his hairstyle change after he falls for Tong Xin lol. Usually that hairstyle means serious business and that he's not playing around anymore. I can def see him with Tong Xin after a good character development, he'll be a fun dad to peter too with all his translation and skating skills :)

Agreed, not a fan of cheng yao yet but if he has a good character development, I can see him with tong xin and being a fun dad to peter. I'm actually waiting for their CP scenes to start bc I'm curious how he'll notice tong xin after moving on from lin xi and how they'll fall in love

I've seen worse love triangles but this one is pretty light-hearted and fun. No clue why you feel this way 🤷‍♀️

The ML is not immature, his work ethic is good, he delivers, he loves her and believes she loves him too so chases her, and he gives her time. There is a good amount of pettiness/ jealousness to make a few light-hearted scenes.

What is wrong with being a successful prideful woman? She's being cautious and thinking about her future, and their future before committing to a relationship given her circumstances.

Yea, Cheng Yao is overconfident and childish but it adds humor to the show and he is a funny rival to the ML although sometimes annoying lol

I searched up the title of the novel with the author's name (all in chinese). There seems to be no properly translated version but you can the google translate on the web pages if you want to read it in english or any other language

That could've been the case and just shallow words but the ML said those things to his ex-girlfriend while they were in a relationship. He did mean it and was very bratty but the FL had flaws too. They grew with each other and changed for the better. The ML didn't mention any of these to the FL after they started loving each other. So, there's a lot of character development in this story!
