I see, I'm happy he loved her then but their story was tragic so its nice that chasing the moon is a new start with the reincarnation story. I'm not sure how that would be shown tho since there's censorship on reincarnation stuff

To the ones who watched this drama or read the first novel of the series, does Tian Qi actually fall in love with Yue Mi later? After watching the scenes in ep 46 and ep 49 where Tian Qi reminisces about Yue Mi, I can see that he's very guilty, feels indebted to her, and is still thinking about her after so many years but does he love her? Is it guilt or does he genuinely like her as a woman and didn't realise it?

I searched up the novel and saw a line in the scene where he finds the wines Yue Mi hid in her yard. He says something like, 'I not only owe my best friend a life but I found out I also owe her love. I can never repay her, I'd rather abandon all my feelings'. He calls her his best friend and says he owes her love. Will he love her voluntarily if not for her tragic ending? He seems to acknowledge her genuine love for him but feels unworthy but does he love her back? How were their dynamics?

If its just guilt and mourning for a best friend who died saving you, im glad they can start new as Bai Shuo and Fan Yue in Chasing the Moon drama and build a proper relationship that could've blossomed in ALP.

Okay, I kinda picked up the drama again and watched the remaining eps. It does get better 💓😆

I see :/ i wish they include the names Yue Mi and Tian Qi at least once in chasing the moon tho, their story was special to me. One of the main reasons why im looking forward to chasing the moon apart from it being a bai Lu and ao ruipeng drama ✨

aww that’s sad then how can this be considered a sequel if they didn’t buy the copyrights? :/ it’s good that they want these to be stand alone shows but having the same names wouldn’t make a lot of difference for first time viewers

Isn’t Gu Jin the son of ShangGu and Bai Jue? Why did they say he’s the son of Di Juan and Yi He? I dropped ALP so I’m kinda confused. I’m planning to at least know the story bc im gonna watch Chasing the Moon for sure and it will be helpful to know the backstory for TLI

I just watched the first ep. It was kinda underwhelming imo. does it get better? I don’t like the ML’s wig too

She says it’s a real thing and it does seem like it really happened. I just couldn’t believe her or the fact that she was pregnant bc of her acting. Everything seemed made up to me. The only real thing about her was the fact that she was a spy

This!! You can’t seem to know what she’s thinking so everything she says seems like an act. Unreadable face of the actress was being to obvious that her character was just putting up an act

Ryan Cheng and Bai Lu? that’s one unexpected CP pairing omgg but I love their acting so waiting for a banger 💕

I felt like Shangguan Qian was always putting up an act and lying even in the scene where she confesses to Gong Shang Jue and tells him she’s pregnant. It made me think if she ever had feelings for him and wavered from her mission. Because of the acting, it looks like she never loved him for real not even once.

Did anyone of you feel this too? What’s your thought on her feelings for Shang Jue?

I felt this too. Everything she does seems fake, I mean it’s obvious that she’s acting. I felt this in her romantic scenes with 2nd ML too. It’s like she’s never showing her true emotions. I felt like she was just lying to him, till the very last ep although that’s her mission

Both male and female lead die in each other's arms. The female lead was pregnant while dying. She didn’t even give birth. It’s a sad ending implying you can’t change the fate. At least they spent their last moments together
