I am still gonna complete this drama despite the frustrating misunderstandings bc it has a happy ending, I loved the novel, my favorite leads, the female lead has a good work ethic, and I have seen worse in cdramaland.
By worse I mean, hair-pulling, whipping-the-phone-out, dropping the drama shit like abusive ml, extremely spineless fl, obsessive doormat sml, extremely annoying mother-in-law, shitty exes who re-enter their lives and are still close to the leads, years of leap due to misunderstandings and so many lmaoooo 🤣 idk who im tryna convince but yea to the haters who think this misunderstanding & dragging is the worst, you clearly haven't been in cdramaland for long 💀
If we are frustrated, its because we had high expectations given the plot, cast, and crew. ik there are only like 6-7 eps left but im hoping this drama will end strong or at least have a satisfying happy ending ❤️
I’m thinking their second life was to correct the first life. Their third life ZZ and JXN will finally be together.
it does make it easier to accept the heartbreak that they're feeling now but honestly, given their personalities and perception of life, I don't see them ending up together in any life. sometimes if you're not meant to be, you're not meant to be but either way, I get why you thought about a third life. It gives that 'one that got away' feeling ig.

i feel like its because a few series of her dramas did not do well in the charts and her floppy pale makeup + heavy persian headgear in almost all of her new historical dramas isn't helping. people say she's stuck in her comfort zone with a bad makeup artist and stylist. hope her company lets her explore more versatile dramas and changes her crew

I read the whole novel and loved it to bits. I couldn’t wait for Only for Love to air. The crew has definitely done some injustice to the drama. There’s so many things they could have covered in 36 eps but they chose to drag it and frustrate us.
There was no Yi Yang romantic/ pursuing arc in the novel. Even if he was there, it was not even significant bc I barely remember reading about his character in the novel. & Shu Yi isn’t frustrating in the novel like she’s portrayed to be in the drama. I do believe there’s a portrayal issue. There’s no way this is the exact adaptation of the novel that I pulled all nighters to read during a cold winter 😭
OK, earlier I commented about how I can't defend Ning'er bc she literally sabotaged Xie Wei's plans in the recent eps and put their safety in danger.
After giving some more thought to it, I blame both Xie Wei and Ning'er. They agreed to communicate and work together but she didn't tell him about using Zhou to visit Yan Lin in the jail and he didn't tell her about the new plans he made including the jail incident and mission with Zhang Zhe. No one communicated properly as agreed, especially Xie Wei. This led to all the MESS. Heck even Zhang Zhe is to blame, he took the matters into his own hands and made Ning'er tag along like he was going on some field trip. She could've hid somewhere and waited for Zhou to clear up the mess in the jail and find her.
but yea, im concluding that if Xie Wei and Ning'er aren't together, its a mess and if Zhang Zhe and Ning'er are together, its a mess 🤣
