Ugh.

I don't think this film would be the same if it were remade because there's a lot going into it that deals with American culture, politics, and social issues. Still, it could be used to tackle those issue in a way that suits the intended audience.

While I agree with some of what you're saying and we are a country of immigrants, even now in our country, African Americans and Immigrants are often feared and looked at as outsiders so I definitely think the film plays on that. If I'm not mistaken, I do remember reading articles wherein he expressed this sentiment. Who do you think feels like an outsider in this country, especially in the present, at times?

I've seen it and it's one of my favorites. I've rewatched it at least 3 times.

Looking forward to Chu Yan and his fl in season 2. Not sure what the plot will be.

I liked it even though it was hella cliche. The leads had nice chemistry but the kiss scenes were a travesty.

2 eps left and I still feel the same especially since she gave him a chance before that press conference to tell her everything and he claims to only for her to find out a few eps later that he slept with the examiner. I love the actor and the character. I feel like he loves her, but not enough to put her first. If she stays with him, she'll drown. He'll bury everything she accomplishes on her own because the truth is, she's the best thing about him.

Watching for my oppa YKS and praying Ha Ji Won doesn't ruin this for me.

The synopsis has my attention.

Hope those subbing season 1 sub the special as well. Really enjoying this and would love to see how they met.
