Actually there are 5 shards of Yin iron. 3 were with Wen Ruohan, 1 was with WWX (sword form) and 1 was with XY you will get to know it few episodes later. Even LWJ and WWX didn't know about it until they met XY and he told them.

Idk lol, when I look at them in bts and interviews they look really close like brothers to me.
