I thought the same when he looked out his window towards her apartment after giving the grace period on rent. It seems like something happened to someone he cared about so he shut himself from getting close but her persistence with her dream of being a pilot speaks to him?

I hope FL’s mother doesn’t stay disapproving the entire drama. I’m trying to understand the family dynamics.

CX’s family lives very comfortably. Mom is a lawyer and dad is retired?? Didn’t pick up on his profession. CX wants to be a pilot, loves the freedom of flying and possibly freedom from mom, independence. Mom is worried for daughter in a career where females are a minority?

GNT’s father was Air Force pilot and mom an aeronautical engineer or designer? He wanted a career as an Air Force pilot but gave it up and went into commercial sector to stay with mom because father passed away. Mom is independent and understanding. They’re also living comfortably. So no social class difference issues between the leads except GNT is her landlord and boss.

It also sucks that he’s throwing all his prejudice on ML so it adds to the misunderstanding between CX and GNT. Looking forward to CX’s growth in the series but it looks like it’s going to get tougher soon if she get grounded…no flying hours means longer wait for promotion. Can’t believe how that boss gets away with the nepotism and prejudice at the moment.

This is a different genre so I’m looking forward to it.

CCTV is state owned so there’s stricter censorship than if it was only on a iQiyi or Tencent I think. Any kissing would only be pecks and anything beyond that would only be hinted at. I’m expecting a subtle slow romance as a side product of FL’s growth in finding her place as a pilot.

Flight to You to me is similar Beloved Life which is not for everyone. I love different types of genres and really looking forward to Road Home. The previews look good. Blood of Youth looks like it might have potential but we’ll see…not too sure about Forbidden Love either.

Waiting on Legend of Anle too. The previews look good.

Which ones are you waiting on? I’m waiting for Flight To You with Seven Tan and Wang Kai as well as Road Home.

We meet situations like that often but don’t always focus on it just as even if we’re good at something, there’s always someone that can be better. It’s very realistic. It’s how we react to it that determines our fate. FSM, ZY’s roommate, is a perfect example of the opposite of GJH when confronted with the fact that you’re not always the best at everything. She’s thriving as a lawyer even though she was an IT major because she sucked at IT. GJH got blinded by that one-sided competition with LX but he was good at business which he should have realized his strength and focused on instead.

It sucks how they use that against him but his father was actually the harshest on him because he wanted to make sure CFY was really in it for the career/acting versus the fame/idol thing. I was watching some videos where they said that his father made him be just one of the staff in his first few projects, no special privileges so that he can learn the struggles of starting out. His parents stay away from a lot of industry events so as to not get caught up in the dark side of the industry.

It was definitely corruption. That previous arrangement was for FZJ to win the first prize which was why he was so cocky. However, LX joined Gao so FZJ was scared of competing against LX which was why he convinced the sponsors to create a special prize for him so that he would win no matter what which made the whole competition really irrelevant. The competition, as FZJ, bragged to ZY was a set up for him to win anyways. Even the second one 3 years later was corrupt for the same reason. Everything was a set up so that the product they bought was from the star of the competition to give the product more prestige. Also, FZJ was doing a good job of humiliating himself before LX arrived. He knew everyone knew about the rigged competition but still tried to talk sh*t to his competitors as part of his acceptance speech.

For some reason, I can’t get into her dramas either. I’m not sure if it’s the characters she plays or the voice/dubbing. Unpopular, but I also have a hard time with Yang Zi dramas and some of Zhao Luis’s earlier works too for similar reasons. I did like LLTG a lot but I like historicals with action.

I think it was only 1 or two scenes probably to see how it would look. Glad they didn’t use it.

It really sucked that she payed down in his bed. I love LX and ZY so yeah I was offended by that too even though LX would never do anything with her. LX knew that Gao was going to have XLN make that move so he played along but would never go any further than letting XLN talk, drink, and try to steal the source code. There has always been a boundary for him. Even with knowing XLN was trying to play him, he gave her a chance since she was caught in the middle similar to ZY.

I’m totally not moving on after watching their duet. Rewatching now 😆

He’s not a professional singer but performs a little bit just like most actors.

Lol…I’m rewatching and guess everyone missed it in ep1 where her mom said she’s 25 and should change her focus from career to dating. 🤣
