Yes exactly. I love ZLS but dropped both GenZ and Hutong. Sometimes the stars align and chemistry, story, cinematography, costume, music, director all work beautifully together. This is what happened here.

I don’t think any other actress would be able to play SZ without the cringe but that’s just the opinion of viewers that rated this drama high of course.

The crazy outlandish hairstyles and wardrobe gets me every time. Also, even though Zhao Lusi is thin, I didn’t feel like Chen would break her in half when they hugged so that’s a DEFINITE plus.

This is a beautiful, feel good romcom and it resonated with a lot of us. If we felt like it deserves a 10, why can’t we give it a 10?

What I like about SZ is that she’s not the typical obsessed, stalkerlike FL we see in a lot of HS dramas. As soon as she makes up her mind, she follows through. University is where our FL shines - she will be the ML’s rock. you may also call it bachelor in distress.

The ratings kept going up as more episodes became available. I think the reason for this drama’s success is because of its simplicity and how it resonates with viewers. This paring had so much chemistry it’s insane. Episode 5, although cute - isn’t the best part of the drama. That comes when she’s in university. Keep on going! Enjoy!

lol I think it’s because both are from the same author. I watched 5 episodes of When I Fly Towards You and while it’s cute, it’s just okay for me. As of now, it reminds me too much of A Love So Beautiful with a stoic ML and a bubbly, borderline stalker FL. Maybe I have some ways to go but because of all the rave reviews so I’ll keep on going.

The drama is really different from Hidden Love though because i was captivated with the first episode of HL. Not to mention the cast is stunning.

The best is when they said we only like it because we like ZLS. I mean come on, so many first time cdrama watchers that don’t even know who ZLS is have such good things to say about it!
