Well, I don't know details but supernatural and fantasy differ. For example, 'Ghostbusters' got denied release in China last year. It's weird because Chinese mythology is full of "magic" and they love adapting it but it seems that they have something against "modifying reality" hence ban on supernatural abilities, time traveling etc. I quote: "According to China's regulators - Too many science fiction dramas casually make up myths, have monstrous and weird plots, use absurd tactics, and even promote feudalism, superstition, fatalism and reincarnation".
