I'm actually kinda done with Di Xu and Ti Lan. I'd thought when things settle I'd like them as a couple but it…
Perhaps bcs they started the relationship with the emperor hated her since the first meeting. Then he kept abusing her, although sometimes he cared for her but not in a romantic way. Now he knew he made mistakes and trying to redeem it, but the constant torture until her body got damaged can't be forgotten by us. Although he's treating her nicely in a romantic way, Tilan is being careful bcs he is still the emperor, and their relationship now isn't love, but "fixing mistakes" and "open my heart for a new person". Perhaps this is why you think it feels unnatural.
While people are busy discussing about Haishi, here I am thinking about what happened to Tilan's side. Based on ep 35-36, why do I feel that one of her maids, most likely Bihong is being taken away? Is she a spy or something? Tilan and Bizi are crying, with Mu Deqing there watching.
Also bcs Jianming doesn't have the intention to say anything, the emperor must explain not only to Haishi, but to Tilan too why he has to take Haishi as his consort. Haishi tried to kill herself bcs these two men secretly plotting behind her. These men totally controlling the girls π
Perhaps they switched but no one noticed? But it's ridiculous considering why no one noticed the little sister…
Yes it's a kdrama called Queen Love and War. Was it common in joseon era that twins was considered a bad omen? In this drama the heroine caused trouble to a bad guy, so her big sister hid her in a box, but the box accidentally got carried away by waves. When she was found, she lost her memory. The prince became a king and married the big sister, but on their wedding day the big sister got killed.
Anyway I still don't think they switched. It's too ridiculous. The writer had to think of a convincing reason for that. I really want to read the novel, but considering it's not being translated... π
In ep 35 trailer soldiers took away something from her and she's crying over it. Strangely only one of her maids is there. Also she seems like in different place from her palace π€ you can see it on ep 36.

I mean, at early ep where the boys went to the festival they talked about Zizan came to Tianqi. That was their first meeting. If Tilan came along with the Zhunian envoy, I find it weird, like why? Why both came? And if it was Tilan and not Zizan in the festival, why did they switch? Also, did the emperor ask to marry Zizan bcs he thought the one he met is Zizan so they sent her? This part is confusing and hard to believe π€ but there is a drama where a girl met the crown prince when they were kids, but this girl went missing for years. The crown prince then married her twin sister thinking she's his first love. At that time twins weren't allowed to exist so their family had to keep it secret. this twins had their reason, but Zizan and Tilan? π€·ββοΈ
HaiShi needs to get out of the miserable life that she's living like what is she waiting for ???? to rot as a…
If only you know the pain of Journey of Flower π€¦ββοΈ the man didn't want to admit his love until she died π€¦ββοΈ he even tried to kill himself rather than admitting his love.
Why does the Ti Lan character and Emperor have more screen time than the leads. I'm tired of seeing his abuse…
I don't know which part that shows the second leads/couple have more screentime than the main as in they steal more than 60% each ep. There are a lot of ep where Tilan didn't even appear or only has about 2-5 minutes. Sometimes the second lead doesn't have any interaction at all.
Tilan canβt get pregnant..https://twitter.com/fluffho/status/1463874890730119182?s=21May be they can possibly…
I believe it can be cured though. The ancient medicine was really powerful ππ» if it can make a woman infertile, it can cure her as well. in another drama a man who got kicked "there" got cured and has baby.
Shifu uses all his disciples as a pawn..As you can see HS says that in trailer..I think they will follow the book…
Really? That's horrible! Can he be any crueler? It's understandable if he is cold to his servants, but to Zhuoying? Is that why Zhuoying leaves to Huku? As in he will turn against Jianming?
Btw did you see the clip where the emperor told Haishi about baixi by asking her to bite him? It's the scene where she is soaking in bath.
Lol don't know what I was thinking in my initial comment, but I don't think he'll force Hashi to be his consort…
In some spoilers, Jichang wants to take the throne and the first step is to kill Jianming. To do that he wants to marry Haishi, so Jianming begs the emperor to take her as his concubine instead. The emperor will tell her about baixi.
Watched the teaser for 33-34. I forgot to say this but Zhuoying is indeed princess Hongyao's son and Duo Luo's twin. Does he know how his mother died? Will he turn against Jianming and Haishi? π₯ I love Zhuoying and don't want him to be the villain. He leaves to Huku, even taking Zheliu with him π₯
Jianming has proposed to undo the baixi spell π one step! Perhaps it will really happen around ep 40? Bcs they have 3 major villains to beat, they have to wait a bit π
Haha Female Prime Minister is one of the better historicals Iβve seen related to the female leadβs growth…
I don't know if you have watched these, but I know a few dramas. Ruby Lin's Beauty's Rival in the Palace and Singing All Along, Fan Bingbing's The Empress of China.
In Beauty's Rival in the Palace, as the lady in waiting she helped her husband to glory and became the empress at around ep 17-19. The drama ends when she became grand empress dowager. In Singing All Along, she married her man, but got separated. She lost her empress title, but claimed it back. For The Empress of China, I don't watch it, but she ruled the kingdom until she got old and died. These 3 dramas are examples of empress power ππ»
