I’m not really loving how the timelines in this are being shown. It’s a bit confusing and I feel like I’m not getting the story so far 😅 I’ve watched the first 5 episodes and I understand FL backstory but really nothing about their relationship so I don’t feel anything about their characters? IDK I’ll keep watching cos I’ve been interested in this one since it was filming but so far it’s not what I was expecting 😗 Wan Peng looks so pretty tho

Loved the first one

It’s their loss. I regularly see certain actors being praised and I can’t even finish their dramas. People just hate on him for being alive. Just more for those of us who love him to love 😌

lol there’s nothing wrong with having it. I also suffer the same. Even my cat does too 😌 but people do judge others that have it in a negative way. Some people feel entitled to others smiles and especially those in the public eye. He’s just a person and he has his own emotions. He doesn’t owe anyone a smile if he doesn’t feel like it.

A lot of people never bothered to learn the truth behind those early career accusations so they carry that impression of him forward.
Kai also has a bit of resting b face which people take to mean that he has a bad attitude because he’s not smiling 24/7 🙄 so they use these past incidents plus his (gorgeous) slightly angry looking face to prove their judgements must be true.

I feel like I’m missing something. This drama is getting all kinds of high numbers in China in terms of market share and character popularity according to what I read. I’m on ep 4 or 5 (iQIYI is annoying it never shows on the screen on the tv) but it’s really not that compelling of a watch? It’s a bit boring 😕no hate intended just struggling to understand

Maybe I’m not saying it’s never happened and ofc actors gain followers when something is popular but I’ve been following Kai since 2021 and his Weibo followers has been pretty stable for the past 4 years. It’s gone up since then but not in huge surges or anything

Don’t wanna burst your bubble but that kind of growth would be huge for anyone to achieve. Even someone like Xiao Zhan has only increased by about 3 million in the last 5 years

It was also my first Xu Kai drama. It’s become my #1 comfort drama

For me the first story arc is my favourite.
I just love watching all their sweet, funny scenes as they start falling in love. The final part before the second arc takes over is my favourite part. Bai Jue and the arrow-such a great scene. For me, I think ALP is my all time best xianxia.

3rd arc is the most heartbreaking part for Bai Jue. You can see his anguish at trying to push Shanggu away and missing out on time with Yuanqi. I just watched those episodes so it’s very fresh in my
Mind lol

I’ve watched it so many times, currently rewatching and on the second to last episode and am already feeling sad it’s gonna be over and I may just have to start all over again 🫣
