In the end, she killed him with only one stab. I guess because the crew added so many scenes for the supporting…
In the end that climatic scene didn’t have the intended impact IMO due to pacing and editing. They didn’t build up the tension enough and it was over so quickly. I also didn’t feel that TXW brought enough emotional depth in that scene. Yes there bts of her crying blah blah but she doesn’t look like someone who is in anguish after stabbing her lover. This isn’t meant as hate. I believe she’s mostly done light roles before so she probably hasn’t had much experience. She also didn’t bring any emotion when that annoying book died even the character was clearly meant to. I hope she can improve with more opportunities.
I'm really glad the "prank" didn't have much impact on the drama's success. Some people spent real money…
I know I can’t believe some of the things I have read these past few weeks. Such slander and untruths from people who obviously have low reading comprehension. I just can’t understand the level of hate that people have towards a person they’re never met. No one knows what he is really like or if the things that have been claimed are true, untrue or somewhere in between, yet people attack him as if he did these things to them personally. I really don’t understand it at all.
I just finished the novel and it was such a cute and easy read but i'm kinda confused about the last chapter when…
It sounds like she’s a spirit so MZY and the granddaughter can see her. I took it as she lived a long life but MZY just happen to live longer. She was 4 years older than Him too. 🙂
I wouldn’t call it a rushed ending—it was a compressed one. They had to cut two episodes, which meant some…
While it is fine to be satisfied with the ending we got-the parts that were left in left something to be desired. How do you just forget the male lead for 2 episodes. Basically MZY had maybe 4 Mins of screen time in eps 36 and 37. I believe actually the drama was originally set for 36 eps which means they ADDED 2. This gives them no excuse for this messing ending.
It's not anything out of the ordinary, and 8.0 is okay for this drama... I'm not sure why they chose to do it…
I don’t think they left it open for a second season. They just cut Kai’s scenes that would have given more insight to how everything came to be to prioritize other characters. It’s baffling storytelling to be sure.
I just finished watching all the episodes and am feeling personally victimized by the last 3 episodes. The biggest victim in this whole drama is Xu Kai. What a waste. What was the point of him going back into the past if they only bothered to show like 2 mins of it. How did he get back? How did he know where to find Wu Zhen? Why was nothing involving his actions in the past explored but we have copious amount of screen time for the snake crew and others? Please make it make sense. I feel the drama he filmed isn’t the drama we saw. I dunno what the editors or writer or director or whoever was thinking. This drama could have been so much better. I am feeling so upset as I looked forward to this drama from its booting ceremony. It has the visuals, cinematography, good cast, interesting subject matter, good OST and it just fell so flat at the end 🙁 I am however greatful for all the beautiful, if limited, shots of Kai and that will be my positive takeaway from this.
