Youku just posted BTS video with a few small SPOILER scenes!!! + the crew talking about the filming, characters…
I'm surprised to see that those cement blocks in Ep 2 are real!!! I thought the crew made them from styrofoam, lol. They gave a futuristic vibe, which fits with the scene when the time traveling happens (she arrives in 2018).
I agree they shouls not do fish kiss, esp with them lingering on the dead fish.....If they do it, they need to…
Awww... probably he's still shy... he's still somewhat a newbie. He didn't kiss in previous dramas, right? Hopefully he did better in Because You're My First Love with Prim. I'm so looking forward to that drama! 🥰🥰🥰
Loved it 'til near the ending when a previously murderous someone suddenly turned over a new leaf - that wasn't…
Actually it's believable cos it's a Thai drama. In its dramas, if the villains repent there is always forgiveness. It's part of Buddhist beliefs, the Thai main religion. Forgiveness is part of dharma. I watched several Thai dramas in which the protagonists forgive the repented villains or bad people, tho we as viewers really pissed off at them and want them to be punished.
After thinking about it, I have a new theory on Min Ji Ah (read it if you watched till Ep 11) - spoiler below:
There is another spirit or deity sent down to the heavens and takes the form of the transfer student Min Ji Ah who is shamanic or has a psychic power. She also takes the face of Cho Young. Her task is to knock some senses into Bo Gyeom, clean up the mess he made (including his curse), and send him and the fox back to the mountain (so the human school has a human VP and a human history teacher). Here are the reasons why I came up with this theory:
Firstly, the drama suddenly brings her in as a transfer student, everything about her is odd, for example, she doesn't even bother to make friends and wanders around by herself. Secondly, she recognizes the tiger and the fox, and speaks to them with authority not as their student or a reincarnated human. Thirdly, she doesn't recognize Hae Na as Mak Soon, Cho Young's servant, although both women were very close in the past. Finally, Bo Gyeom is rude to her and he told her not to come to see him again. If she is the reincarnation of Cho Young, Bo Gyeom should be happy because he reunites with his beloved and tries hard to make her like him. But Bo Gyeom seems to not want Min Ji Ah to interfere with his revenge.
I am so confused, did she steal the identity of the original girl or they are the same person with same personality?
Because a lot of comments theorize that this is a VR game/experiment, I think she doesn't steal the original girl's identity. Jiang Xiao Yuan whom Qi Lian knows in high school, is the same as in 2025 and the same as in 2018, and who knows later in the other worlds or the real world. It's just like an RPG, one person can play different roles with the same/real name.
I think they want to make it as complicated and confusing as the Taiwanese drama SOOD, lol. But since real time…
I read here and there that there were cases of Chinese people committing suicide cos they believed they would time travel like what they watched in dramas, that's why the Chinese government banned that theme in modern dramas.
I think they want to make it as complicated and confusing as the Taiwanese drama SOOD, lol. But since real time travel theme is banned by Chinese government, they use fake time travel in a VR game/experiment instead.
I just watched the trailer for episode 17, sis literally hit the ML with a freaking brick🤣 and the look on…
Don't worry about the brick thing... lol... I think she did it because she's desperate to go back to the real world, so she thinks Qi Lian is intruding on her departure. She still thinks that he loves the other Qian Yuan. She believes Bo Yu has the answer to the real world because he shows her his time traveler phone and it says "Congratulations, all tasks complete! Confirm to return?" therefore Bo Yu can go back to the real world. With that, it's even possible that she believes now that Qi Lian is a 'virus'.
对... logically, why he doesn't do DNA matching test on her and grandma? Such test takes only a few days and…
Usually in Chinese dramas the real world will be revealed in the end... someone commented in another post that Qi Lian might also be a virtual player/AI. Can be... I replied to the commenter that like in hundreds of ending scenes in Chinese dramas Xiao Yuan is called by a male voice, she looks up and either surprised or smiles. We are just left to interpret that the caller is Qi Lian.
对... logically, why he doesn't do DNA matching test on her and grandma? Such test takes only a few days and he has money to do it. However, I think that 2018 arc is also a virtual world. Therefore, DNA test is not a programmed option in the experiment.
LMAO... We can make thousands of theories with so-called sci-fi/time travel Chinese dramas. Like I said I still think Jiang Bo and Jiang Xiao Yuan are blood-related, perhaps siblings in real world.
Yeah, the ending can be that Qi Lian doesn't exist on real world and she will be left having memories of him... BUT... as Chinese dramas love to confuse their viewers... the last scene may have a male voice calling the real Jing Xiao Yuan, she looks up to the person, and is surprised or smiles... [I saw this kind of ending in hundreds Cdramas already].
Hmmm... interesting... in 2025 Qi Lian and Jiang Bo are not there and another guy is her (ex) lover. In 2018 she likes Qi Lian. If the clips you saw are not misleading, could it be that in the real world, she and Jiang Bo are lovers, and Qi Lian is just a virtual player, or he is just an investor in the experiment?
But I still think that Jiang Bo and Jiang Xiao Yuan are blood-related in the real world since they share the same surname Jiang, the same Chinese character 江.
I know it's frustrating for romance fans cos we ship Qi Lian and Xiao Yuan, but Chinese dramas love to make a mess of their endings. We gotta be ready for any possibility.
Question: Is Min Ji Ah the reincarnation of Cho Young or just a look-alike shaman who has Cho Young's spirit in her? I'm confused cos she recognizes the mountain spirit, even the fox, but doesn't recognize her former maid, despite them being very close in the past. Is Min Ji Ah even a human?
I feel that 1 last episode isn't enough to wrap this up. Is there news that they'll extend it up to 17 episodes?
No, please. No need to copy Chinese dramas that extend (one more) special episodes because their endings are not satisfying. It's easy to wrap up nicely the ending of this drama. I think the finale will be mainly about the main couple Jung Woo and Sun Deok, and their final battle with (you know who) the mastermind of crimes. The other matchmaking cases are pretty much done. The wedding/marriage of Crown Prince and his bride can even be just narrated something as "and they have a grand wedding with the whole nation of Joseon celebrating and rule as the future wise King and Queen". Even the runaway bride and her groom can also be one scene with them living quietly and happily in countryside, and where they may meet again with Soon Deok and/or Jung Woo and the little Geun Seok.
I'm the young generation of drama watchers. Wanna watch this version because I'm familiar with the cast (Wu Lei, Zhang Xin Chen, Zhang Wan Yi) but not the previous ones. Watching older dramas with 50+ episodes will drive me crazy, and something is always off with older dramas whether acting, production quality, costume (for modern dramas), and especially video quality.
Based on your understanding of the S3 synopsis, do I need to watch S1 and S2 to understand S3? Are S1 and S2 related?
