As per her diary she's stressed with things going on with her career and fed up so she is taking a break went to see her mom in another city as per her video message to the manager. The manager and Jiu Shi also thought she might go to meet the person she likes. Also, when Xiu Lun found out there are twins he told Gao Ling to find the twin sister. In the ending credit there is a scene the twin meet together. So we'll see her in the upcoming episodes. As of Ep 18, not yet.
So I watched 2 episodes from Viki. Marcus Chang and Eugenie Liu really have great chemistry together even though they are not a fake couple yet. I can't wait for Jing Cen to have her hair chopped. That hair extension looks so bad on her! She's not amused when Heng Wei told her she looks like a man, hahaha 😂😂😂

Actually, I was wary about Ming in the beginning, since I have watched tons of crazy b*tches who like MLs in Thai dramas. But it seems like she gets over her crush on Pla, since she advises him to confess to Vita or she might fall for Sen, hahaha. Anywho, she definitely is Thana's ex-girlfriend as she removed pictures of them together from the refrigerator. But she obstructs police work, she deliberately stalls the investigation when Pla asked if she found anything about Thana, she said "no". In the real world, she will be put on administrative leave, at minimum.
Normally, in romance drama, I dislike any character who interrupts the romance development between the main characters. But this guy is so hilarious, he gets the nerves on Vita and Pla, but I like him. His love confession in the interrogation room, hahaha...
The second couple is super cute. The dough kneading scene during the special cooking class reminds me a little bit of that famous scene in the movie Ghost.
I'm on Ep 32 too. I was just thinking about the couple since the Emperor practically banishes his only son the Crown Prince and someone said in the comment below as per the novel Zhou Ye will be the future Emperor. If the Emperor appoints him to be the next Crown Prince or his successor, they will start looking for a suitable wife for him. So I wonder if Zhou Ye and Qin Wan Zhi should just marry now and we won't get another unnecessary misery of royal marriage selection, lol.

I think it's not too quick, it's a normal pace for a romance drama mixed with other genres. This drama is also crime cases/mystery genre, so romance is not necessary the focus. In a full romance or romcom drama, usually half-way thru both ML and FL have feelings towards each other although no confession. Vita is considered slow (hence the snail metaphor) since she never falls or dates anyone, even if there is an inkling of her liking Pla, she thinks that just as caring for superior/teammate.

Master Amin is a leader or important person in charge of the education of some kind of secret organization. The graduates from Gen1 to 5 are its members with important positions in the society for the organization's benefits and they also financially and socially support the school. Run is the only one who rebelled. His gene must be so good that he isn't affected by the mind-controlling treatments. Alien, perhaps... (Midnight Museum, lol).
The organization carefully selected single/lone children from rich and dysfunctional families and they're also loners, so if something bad happens the kids can be made disappear since they don't have anyone who will look for them. Or in the case of the twins, both are sent to Home School. As for Run and Rin, the cult didn't know at first that he has a sister, because of their family event.
Even with the scholarships, those are not random. They picked Maki because she's an orphan, and Tibet because his mom is sick. They probably killed his mom, too, since she was the only sane parent out of the rest.
All teachings are for the organization's benefit. The harsh punishments are mind-controlling 'therapies' similar to ECT or nanotechnology, like what happened to Hugo and Jingjai. That's why probably romance is prohibited, so they can be controlled individually.
I think the plot is going forward to the rebellion of the Masters. Master Dilak must be given that 'therapy' probably led Master Praephon to influence others and become a catalyst to help set free Run and Gen6. We know some masters are already restless.
They choose Tibet to be the successor of Master Amin, probably not only because he's grief-stricken by his mom's death (his mind can be easily manipulated), his influence on Maki (who questions the school system and also Run's sister), also to Nai and White (as those four seem to be the important students of GEN6).
