Those fight scenes were better than those in some so-called wuxia dramas! It was nice to see such professional…
I think because the director is a veteran in directing costume dramas. Although the fighting scenes are not the usual wuxia, but overall the choreography is amazing.
Hahaha... till the last minute, they still throw surprises! Great show I enjoyed it very much. That plot twist is unexpected. The final fight is amazing in temple ruins between raindrops. Beautiful ending and a tease for a sequel? A rare gem unlike typical costume Cdramas, you know... with their annoying endings. 😉
My guess on the ending of the mastermind villain... (spoiler below)
It is CP all along. As hard as we ship him and Chilan, it reveals that she loves Mu Yan but never has a chance to confess to him. In the last showdown, Chilan will kill CP with the dagger he gave her for her bday... If my guess is true, we got a handsome and charismatic villain! And China loves tragedy-comedy as we see in their costume dramas.
Remember, they were on the variety show "The Truth" together last year, so this is cool now. I think their characters…
Yeah, I remember The Truth, so I'm pretty sure they'll have good chemistry ;D. Besides this there are also A Journey to Love and Square Pavilion where he is the first ML with love interest but not sure about the endings lol. This one by reading the synopsis it's bound to be HE 𡅕
TLB... which one is better... no kiss or a kiss blurred by the parrots? 😉
I know that scene is supposed to be romantic, but I like better when the director showed them how to do it with the help of his assistant. It's hilarious!!!
Liu Yu Ning humbly called her Teacher Zu Er (祖儿老师 = Zu Er laoshi), although she's like 10 years his junior. What a man! 😘 Most likely because she helped him with acting during filming since she's more experienced.
At first, I thought Hye Seong is just a filler character. But I end up waiting the next time she shows up on the screen. She's like a ray of sunshine on gloomy days. I mean, she's the only cheerful character up till Ep 6...
So I finished the drama (without paying for the express package 😉) and I realized what kept me going and not dropping it is those eye candies... can't resist handsome faces 🤩😍😘
Aside from the topic, I think Deng Wei doesn't fit goody-two-shoes characters like Qin Ke, boring. I'm hoping that he'll be confirmed to play the dragon Chang Yue in Si Ming. A dark/tsundere character like the one he played in Miss the Dragon fits him better.
Is Deng Wei confirmed to be the dragon Chang Yuan? I don't have any complaints. He fits better in the dark/tsundere character in Miss the Dragon than the good character in The Journey of Chong Zi.
I'm confused with the synopsis... so ML is FL's son, but who is his dad??? His surname is Qi as her surname is. If her supposedly future husband is Lu Xiao, ML's surname should be Lu, unless they got divorced and she is single when he was born. This is IMO follows the usual school romance trope with smart-ass ML and not-so-smart FL (at least she is not poor as other cliche FLs) from high school to college, and the usual Chinese government PPL on youth dramas that students have to do good in schools. I guess there will be an unnecessary 'love triangle' between ML-FL-SML since SML becomes jealous of FL's mentor who is ML. I also guess that towards the end there is angst/sadness because ML needs to go back to the future and won't exist anymore (one particular image in the Photo section kinda gives away this guess)... because it's all in FL's dream... 🤦

Chinese fairy tale: And they live happily ever after in their next life.
