Bruh... I already cried on Ep 12 with Wan Jie's arc, and now again on Ep 14. That last scene with Chong Zi and Yin Fan back to back is epic! The heartless side of me telling that they should make Ep 15 or even a few more episodes just on the heartbroken Yin Fan before Chong Zi is back, lol!
I have rarely or never known a drama with all OST songs sung by the actors! Luo Zheng and Rain Lu sang the opening theme. Lin Yan Rou the closing theme. Ye Hao Ran and Darrien Zhang also sang 2 other OST songs.
I noticed some comments are confused with the current synopsis which is taken from the novel. Below is a synopsis I found on dramapanda.com that is well-translated from the Chinese language synopsis in Youku platform:
The story is now set in a sci-fi-esque Xinyuan Civilization Year 253 where rising crime rate and its relation to "zero-degre empathy" have become a topic of interest. The murder of a deliveryman leads to a criminal organization and the culprit turns out to be someone with "zero-degre empathy". Police officer Luo Wei Zhao who is in charge of the case finds that things are not as simple as they seem. In subsequent cases, the wealthy Pei Su also seems to be caught in the middle.
She's working together with her uncle, the State Councillor. The ones they closed up after the discourse is over are Head Eunuch, Head Palace Lady, and SML's assistant (one of the investigator/guard)
Ep 4: I noticed that there are closeups of 3 people just after they announce that the discourse is over. I wonder if they are the bad guys although not the mastermind...
Thank you, I have to give you a round of applause, BRAVA! I'd really like any teenagers, whatever the genre, could…
Thanks for reading this old article from almost 2 years ago, lol. How did you find it? Yeah, although I was far no longer a teenager, neither have a teenager family member, somehow I have written some school/youth topic articles despite the genre is not my preference ;D
It's purposely made to parody Cinderella's tale in a modern-day setting, so a lot of ott, theatrical, unrealistic stuff. It's entertaining nonetheless, I haven't seen a contemporary drama like this so far, it's different.
